LOL NDA? Stealth? The entire world already knows about the 3G[S], hell, Maxis was even portrayed as one of the carriers carrying the 3G[S] in the keynote! Who are they trying to lie to?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

The release dates and what they will do next. Thats what I meant. Yes we already know the iPhone 3G[S] is here, but we don't know when Maxis will launch it. Like any other companies, they don't respond to questions of an unreleased product, even though that product is already released in other countries. I don't know why, probably to 'manage expectations'. Hehehehe...

I guess they are carefully deciding on the price and the rest which is why they have to be tight lipped. You don't want to leak news of another exorbitant pricing plan killing interests or rumors of cheap iPhones on the way which is not what they want. All this will affect their execution, like any other companies' marketing plan execution. Thats managing expectations.

We cannot say what will happen to Maxis the current stocks on iPhone 3G. Who knows now that Apple has reduce the price for 8GB, a rebate or kickback is being issued? Who knows whether Apple may be reclaiming old stocks with kickbacks? These are all business decisions that we don't know and it is not for us to speculate. Or maybe the reasonable thing to do would be to let the iPhone 3G[S] co-exist with current existing models? That would be a detriment for all of us since Maxis would reasonably position the 3G[S] on top of 3G 16GB which is worse! With the 8GB slotted in between! Of course, Maxis would need Apple's blessings... maybe we need to learn from AT&T what they would do with their current 3G stocks.

It's actually kinda odd why some of your tethering only work on one connection device but not the other. I'm personally using Windows 7 RC and there's no problem for both. hmm.gif Could it be your OS missing some windows updates or...?

@xandman,
Add BT device to Vista. Setup Bluetooth Personal Area Network and connect to it and voila, it works! Still not too sure about USB but heck, who cares as long as BT is working; can still connect the iPhone to USB to charge it biggrin.gif

@BlueHeng,
Am wondering, perhaps some setting needs to be done; for example an adhoc peer to peer connection. It's still not working but I'll try again later. Now gotta go back to work and figure if I should open that RM99 Unlimited Data Plan by Maxis!

Any news on when we can JB 3.0? I would not be upgrading until there's a JB because I have a few apps from Cydia.

i'm using vista, the bluetooth works well for me
I was just turn on iPhone bluetooth, then I go to vista control panel -> bluetooth devices, then i select add.
after detect, pin verified, it connect to my phone.
then i go to network set up and add PAN
done biggrin.gif

btw, i found that the battery indicator is more precise now.
So you going to feel the battery life seem like drop faster than before?
instead of full bar for quite a while then only start drop rapidly

@CooLeRthings,
Er.. what about Internet Tethering through USB? What do U need to setup?! *grins* Am quite sure something needs to be setup because for BT we need to enable PAN. For USB thus far, Peer to Peer Adhoc Connection doesn't work *siGh*

If it is this hard to enable thethering on the new OS 3.0, maybe we can consider to use PDAnet(3rd party apps) later on.
I've tried this before, and it really staisfied my need. Simple but yet it works like a charm.

Can tether 3G Data connection and also wifi connection from your iphone to your laptop. (but why on earth do we need to share wifi from iphone as if our laptop dont have one tongue.gif maybe to be used with desktop i think.. heheh )
