QUOTE(yoecr7 @ Mar 31 2009, 02:49 PM) we have yet to see the true quality of Manucho.so its not fair to say that.just hope that he won't be the next Dong. Dong was never intended to fight for first team nor even play for Manchester United, he's just a marketing idea to sell more jersey in China. Imagine 1.3 trillion people knew that Dong was in Manchester United, how many of them would buy the jersey.QUOTE(sinoffire @ Mar 31 2009, 04:02 PM) Omg, no Giggs. Well the late George Best has the sympathy vote I guess. |

But yea maybe I wasnt around to see Best's magic.QUOTE(yoecr7 @ Apr 1 2009, 04:25 AM) that's what i meant. i hope that manucho will not be used as a marketing strategy for the Angolan market. Angolan market? haha. Even Malaysia has more population.. maybe they should try signing Hardi Jaafar. |

Yes, because we all know what rapid potential the Angolan market has. Jersey buyers, potential investors, black money dealers. You name it, they've got it.This post has been edited by air_mood: Apr 1 2009, 12:50 PM |

Anderson worry for United
QUOTE Manchester United's title aspirations have been dealt another blow with news of an injury for Brazilian midfielder Anderson. The 20-year-old had looked set to deputise for the suspended Paul Scholes against Aston Villa on Sunday. But a thigh injury picked up in training for Brazil on Monday has ruled him out of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Peru and his hopes of returning to face The Villans look slim. A statement on the Brazilian Football Confederation's website said: "The player, under the assistance of team doctor Jose Luis Runco, had an MRI scan on Tuesday afternoon in which the strain was confirmed. "The player has started recovery treatment." Although Anderson has not been a regular starter under his international coach Dunga, he had looked set to be involved in some capacity against the Peruvians. Brazil are fourth in the South American qualifying zone, though, with 18 points and are heavy favourites with the bookmakers ahead of their clash with rock-bottom Peru. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5127675,00.html |

QUOTE(Hevrn @ Mar 31 2009, 07:59 PM) Has anyone mentioned that our beloved Rooney's wife Colleen is now three months pregnant? We'll be seeing more Little Shreks around in the future. Lets sign them up! The key is 'controlled aggression'. Aggression by itself can only bring him so far before it explodes in his face.Haha, on a more serious note, I hope being a father will now make Rooney feel more responsible for his actions and try to be a lil more patient on the field. As it is, he's stocking up on too many reckless yellow cards, some even after coming on the pitch for less than half an hour. But then again, he did say that taking the aggression away from him will make him a less bombastic player, so... its a catch 22. Added on April 1, 2009, 4:09 pm QUOTE(madmoz @ Apr 1 2009, 12:27 PM) That was something, wasn't it? Added on April 1, 2009, 4:15 pm QUOTE(air_mood @ Apr 1 2009, 02:04 PM) The irony is, maddie is correct. I just checked Wikipedia and Angola is the second fastest growing economy in Africa and one of the fastest in the world! This post has been edited by Fyrekat: Apr 1 2009, 04:15 PM |

Its true actually. Was doing a lil research for my assignment few days back and lo and behold, Angola actually posted about a 15% real GDP growth, about the third best in the globe, well above the world average. Praise be to the United marketing dept.
