Toshiba Satellite (RM3099) , Asus N50 (rm3999), Acer Aspire (RM2999)
forget about Dell, sucks like Hell......
Added on June 18, 2009, 8:12 amnow no more P4 processor in laptop lah, just got Atom, Pentium duo core, core duo, core 2 duo, core 2 quad etc....
and gtx graphic card only for desktop system.......
Added on June 18, 2009, 8:14 amif really a heavy multitasker, better upgrade ram to kingston hyper-x sodimm...... if possible, use 64-bit OS combined with 6gb of ram.....
Added on June 18, 2009, 8:16 amforget abt dell and benq, other brand still acceptable.....
under 4k? no problem, but 17" is kinda rare for this price tag.......
Dell sucks??? yes for their Inspiron systems, but Alienware???

yes we all know P4 is long gone in laptops... so is Core Duo... by the way it's Pentium
Dual Core, and u forgot Core 2 Extreme as well...

GeForce GTX, there's mobile version, GTX 280M and GTX260M respectively, there's still GTS 160M, GTS 150M, GT 130M, GT 120M, G 110M, G 105M and G 101M... this is the most probable line up from Nvidia until GT300 is out...
using Hyper-X RAM won't give u any significance performance boost as the bottleneck is at the FSB... faster RAM only means forking out more cash for nothing... 1066MHz FSB means RAM @ 533MHz is already sufficient... the only change on paper will be the tigher latency, but heck, i doubt u'll notice it in real life...
and wat's so wrong with BenQ??? i ve heard more complaints abt Acer than in BenQ, and as a previous owner of BenQ S41, i can gurantee u that besides the GPU problem (Nvidia

), there's absolutely no problem with it...
