u need at least GeForce 9700M GTS or GeForce GTS 150M to rival HD 4650...
but seriously, these 2 are seldom seen in the market... Added on June 10, 2009, 12:14 pm QUOTE(Massa @ Jun 10 2009, 11:59 AM) Hey. Thanks for the reply. well, too small for me... Is it too small? PS: I'm kinda new into this laptop thingy. 10 comes with Atom Z while 10v comes with Atom N... the former is more power efficient and provides some hardware acceleration for HD videos as reflected on the price, but is also slower... so it's really up to u if u need those features for the extra rm300... though add another rm100 can get urself a budget 14" laptop like Compaq CQ40 with AMD Turion x2 and HD 3200... Hmm, my budget is below RM1500 only. Looks like the 10v suits me well. |

Hurm,
I guess I'll cancel XPS, the design looks bad. Im into gaming, that's for sure, but desktop is better for that. Studio? Er, is that good? Difference between Studio and Inspiron? Well, im thinking either getting it by this month it post-pone it till next month for promotion value and stuff. |

in terms of market...
Inspiron -> Value Studio -> Mainstream Studio XPS -> Performance XPS, Alienware -> Enthusiast Studio 15 with HD 4570 is a very impressive machie i ve to say... it can handle many new games with decent settings... an alt to Studio 15 is Asus F81Se... |

@hisayam. No, the studio is better in terms of performance. reason why its the same price, is because of size, as things get smaller or bigger, they get more expensive. So you see, the 15" is around the cheapest for a laptop price. Also the studio has better resolution.
anyways, to break it down... Processor Intel® Centrino® Processor Technology- Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6400 (2GHz)?? What does this mean? (this is the processing speed, higher better, aim for around 2.4GHz is my advice) Operating system Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic* (i rather go for OEM Premium) Memory 2GB Dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM? (that's just RAM, more ram better performance, go for 3GB, is enough.) Monitor 15.6” HD WLED Display with TrueLife™ Hard Drive 250GB* Hard Drive Optical Drive Slot Load DVD Burner* ?? (just a dvd drive, but is slot, means no tray pop out, is insert the disc, like car one. I find it cool so i like.... but i heard that it spoils.... ask dell studio 15 tread) Graphic Card 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4570 (hm.... i rather go for the 512MB) I went online and choose, P8600 2.4GHz processor, 512 HD4570, 3GB ram, and now got promo for free upgrade to 320 GB, around 3.6K... (oh yea, i choose backlit keyboard and the faster hdd ie. the 7200rpm one.....) This post has been edited by DoubleU: Jun 11 2009, 05:31 AM |
