+1 for Dell Studio 15...

Added on July 29, 2009, 9:07 pmbtw, my turn to ask...

browsing for a netbook lately, may consider buying one...

battery life will be my priority, want it to tahan at least 4hrs of use, with either wifi on or use with 3G modem... 10" monitor is a must, dun want to straint the eyes too much... (although it still will be... sweat.gif)

at the area i live, i ve these choices:

Acer AOD150 (AU$547)
Dell Mini 10 (AU$699) and 10v (AU$549)
Asus EEEPC 1000H (AU$598) and 1000HE (AU$839 sweat.gif)

yeah, that's abt it... it's pretty limited, that is if i lazy and juz grab it from the store only 5mins away + Dell online...

so yeah, which of these can satisfy my requirement??? or is there any other options??? i'll try source for it, even 2nd hand on ebay... thx

Hmm..

Dell Studio XPS 16
512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670, 4GB (2 X 2GB) Dual Channel 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM

BenQ S57
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4650,  DDRII-800 1GB and above ( max to 4.0GB)

I'm noob at hardwares here.. So does the SXPS's RAM is better than S57 and S57's graphic card is better than SXPS?
*
Xps 16 Ram is faster but u feel nothing when compare with S57. Both using higher spec. While if talk about gaming sure s57 better cos use higher range GC.What game are u playing? If interested with xps 16 may refer to my sign. smile.gif

hey,

looking for a laptop below RM3000 for graphic design purposes and gaming. Been eyeing Dell Studio 1555 or Asus K50IN.

both has almost the same specs and price but Asus has 500gb HDD and full keyboard with keypads.

any advice?
*
Look for Studio 1555 from my sign below . I am doing promotion with 500GB HDD too.

1. Brand : NO acer(extremely bad experience with it), any other brand that is good, reputable, reliable.
2. Budget : RM2.5K MAX (preferably around rm2k)
3. Specs: windows XP, GOOD battery life, preferably higher memory space. my laptop will be normally used for the basic stuffs - assgmts,internet,chatting,music,movies..i dun use it for gaming, etc
4. Size : std size,as light as possible..

my current laptop(acer) gives me a migrain.crashes and hangs all the time, lags, etc.watever new laptop im planning to get, i hope it will not pose such a headache to me again..

im new in here and need some help in buying my first laptop on this weekend.thx in advance for any helps ^^.

i am wondering if i shud buy asus n50vc-25dpm : p8700 , 4g , 15.4 inch ,512mb 9300 gs or

ASUS U80VG-21DPM : p6500 , 2g , 14.1 led screen , ati 4570 512mb .

i will be using it for gaming mainly and i would be using multi client for mmorpg.i knew u80`s gc is alot better but can the p6500 satisfy my need to open multi clients ? or should i sacrifice gc for the larger screen of n50vc and faster gpu p8700?since both are same price rm 3399 sleep.gif
can the u80vg handle pw-my medium/high setting 3 > 4 clients?

hlp me pls T^T . or any other models suggestion =D my budget around 2.5 > 3.4k

Compaq CQ40... if u do play some games, suggest u take the AMD setup with Turion x2 and HD3450... but since u want battery life, u may want Intel setup instead...

or if u want Intel + gaming, try Dell Inspiron 14, add the HD4330, that will exceed ur budget though...

Dear guys,
Would like to get some feedback on these 2 notebooks

- HP 540

- HP Pavilion DV4-1412TX

Basically for me is on internet browsing more, HP 540 should be sufficient enough but just would like to know on other feedback i.e on durability, stability etc.....

else budget for DV4 too shouldn't be a problem

Just to gather feedback

Thanks in advance

Hi

Basically I am not comparing them two but just need to know the individual feedback such as Heart dispersing.. Materials made for each model respectively

If HP 540 can provide enough durability and heat dispersing.. I will take.

Price is around RM1800

Pavilion is RM3800

Both are already difference class but I am just into normal usage (internet i.e) and I wouldn't mind taking an over-powered DV4 if HP540 have some known issues i.e unstable, heat, durability etc..

Thanks

Does Dell mini 10v function well? Break down often or not? I heard that it is often no spare part for it, is it true? Is servicing prompt?

What about HP brand? If problems arise, can they send people to come servicing? Where is the service centre in KL or Subang?

HP540 is a good choice and more than enough for ur usage. Not need waste RM2k unless u like the design. I sold 25+ unit HP540 without complain as its is business class HP laptop. This laptop is much better then netbook. thumbup.gif

comparing the asus F81Se to Toshiba Satellite M300 and Toshiba Portege M900

Portege (specs)
http://www.bhinneka.com/products/sku005091...30_-_brown.aspx

Satellite (specs)
http://www.bhinneka.com/products/sku005091...m300-s4313.aspx

The only difference that all 3 laptops offer 4 gig ram
Other than that pretty much the same

Which would be better?
