When I was doing my Tioman Eco Challenge - my pacer (I followed that auntie all the way) said Bukit Tabur can be done in one hour (one way to peak).. hmm wanna try it someday..

haha done my Tioman Eco Challenge.. DId not DNF.. very challenging.. by far the most bizarre trail I can ever imagine although they already reduced the difficulties compared to last year.,, Those trails we been doing like Nuang, Saga are too calm and improved too much.. Tioman's trail are only cleared a week ago by military personnel.. they looks so diffierent.. need to do abseiling up and down.. crawl over tree trunks.. avoid thorny plants.. etc..

hey guys/girls. do any of you all bring along a knife with you when hiking?I have a 12" parang for hacking, but rarely bring it use it since most trails are clear, so i usually only bring either of my smaller knives - a imitation Buck nighthawk (with serration - dont like, only bought it coz cheap) or Benchmade 141 Nimvarus (blade is a too little thin for wood batoning). you guys got any recommendation for a good knife?

I might be going solo next week. I done it once via Climbathon challenge but din have the time to enjoy the view there..

I have done Chemerung - Berembun - Langsir 3d2n hiking trip there 3 weeks ago. It's a very nice camping place and the waterfall is jawsdropping. the trail is not too difficult. Definitely worthwhile for your first hiking trip

I have done batu Putih last week, it's not extremely difficult either. Except there's tons of leeches, I got at least 15 and lost count after that. The temperature at the natural rock formation cave is very very cold. make sure you have sufficient insulation else you are going to ended up being a frozen stick (my high body fat % doesn't help a lot here =(
The hike is not easy but not to say technical as well, but the view there is nothing to be shout off

After 3 days I went to Ipoh to hike to Bukit Kledang, easy and calm trails. good for training

then I did Mt Irau yesterday, definitely nice place to hike. due to cold weather, first time I hardly even sweat during hiking. Would revisit for sure one day. Very nice and dreamy scene there
