If your card doesn't feed with enough power, your system will simply crash, either hard crash or crash to Windows. I don't know what you mean by 'wrong' power cable, its nearly impossible to connect a different cable since its keyed to fit one way

Overheat maybe but less likely, I guess its just eats too much memory by then
*
oh cos the 9800 gt box said recommend to use the power cable included instead of 3rd party cable tongue.gif
so i tot when the guy assemble the pc, he used other cable hehe (since he told me 300 w psu is enough for c2d and 9800 gt =.= )
worried too much i guess tongue.gif
thanks

POV gtx295 reviewed by guru3d.

i want to any news on 40nm dx 10 or 10.1 gpus for desktops??

i know 40 nm dx 10.1 are for laptop will come in late this month but
any desktop versions? dx11 40 nm got delayd to Q1 2010 or even late. while ATI will lauch dx 11 40nm in October at late November this year.

But can we at least hope that nvidia release Dx 10 40 nm cards of 9600gt/9800gt/gts 250 caliber at least??

if so when ? any news? I know Dx11 is not gonna be imporatant as very few games even now is dx 10 and many ppl use xp.

if more games start moving to dx10 and 11...those guys are bound to change to vista...whats the point of having a dx10 card when your OS doesnt even support it? stupid isnt it? dx11 games wont come out yet even if ATI and Nvidia release the card....it will take sometime before dx11 will be implemented on games so i dont think we should worry about it yet

Hello everyone..would anyone be kind enough to explain me in detail actual steps to replace old graphic card and install a new card..i'm quite confuse about the steps..coz i read somewhere stating that no need to uninstall old driver then can take out the old card first..

hope someone can assist me..

its best if u uninstall the old drivers first just incase the old drivers will clash or have conflicts with ur new card or ur new driver. you can do like this; uninstall old drivers, remove old card, replace new card, instal new drivers. hope it helps, goodluck!

plus, i think most forumers would recommend driver cleaning tools, well that would be more assured old driver cleaning, well i never used those programs before so you could ask google or hopefully other forumers would tell you more about it.

either one is ok, nvidia website's driver is the latest one while the bundle cd driver might out date a bit

both are ok although newer drivers usually provide improvements over gaming. If it does not work properly then u can use the driver on the cd provided.

last Few month also no new game release....now Prototype just release ..maybe 1-2 more week later got new Driver for increase Performance for Prototype games and some new release game

To xxSkyAngelxx :
It depent what game you want to play? if the games no support SLI then 9800GX2 just a 8800GTS G92 so 9800GTX+ will be perforamnce better abit
why abit? because 9800GTX still a rename version of 8800GTX G92 only with some overcloking Mhz on Core and Memory......LOL

Mostly new games it won't so fast support SLI....due to games such as Last remant and Empire Total War......For last remant it need wait 1 month ++ to wait Nvidia release Driver for support SLi on that Games and 3 month for Total War Empire to support SLI Driver.
