try closing some of your taskbar application....rockstar social club(GTA4) sitting on my taskbar used to trigger my card to full speed...Steam might trigger it as well

anyone had their gtx260 rma'ed? what is the rate of failure for this card??
I just know gtx280/285 is the most failure rate....i read sum1 here post it.

that one is a chart listing out the failure rate of each graphic card right? i wouldnt take that thing seriously to buy graphic card....anyway gtx 260 still running strong since 2 months ago i bought it tongue.gif

nope....i dont find the need to overclock it since i can maxed out all games anyway except for crysis which i dont bother much laugh.gif

May I know which is the stable driver for Nvidia ?
I'm currently using GTX 275 with the latest driver 185.85 but I during my gaming time like FC2 , The last remnant ..my driver keep stop respond and restart it. This make things difficult for me..hope sifu sifu around here can enlight me

To date, there is no statistic report for gtx285 failure rate. So can't say yet. But gtx280 confirm the highest. Gtx260 wise i cant remember, but its rma rate is definitely in the range of norm

Bro did u oc ur gtx 275? Did u use drive cleaning software b4 installing the newer one? How's ur card temperature?

I'm using XFX GTX 275 and I never oC it . Its on its default setting

GPU clock - 640mhz
Memory clock - 1134mhz
Shader - 1404mhz

I directly install the new driver after formatting my pc ( my pc is brand new ) So I suspect either is hardware problem or its the driver who playing nuts with me.
About the temperature is roughly around 45-48c during Idle and play game like The Last Remnant gone up to 70c..i guess that's pretty normal ?

I now downloading the XFX 185.85 driver from Xfx.com...before this I download the Nvidia 185.85 from nvidia.com and the different in file is 106mb : 81 mb

need some advise...

wonder if i could insert my old Nvidia 8600gt into new mobo supports AM2+ integrated wit AMD chipsets controllers...?

Or anyhow i need to use back mobo which AM2+ integrated wit Nvidia chipsets controllers...?
