QUOTE(gidlcin @ Feb 23 2009, 12:22 PM) if every malaysian thinks like u... then malaysia need another 30~40 years to grow.. Agree. I don't understand most of Malaysian's mentality of having a Anything but Malaysia (ABM) attitude. comeon, should have supported them! although it's manu(rival's team) but then, look on the bigger picture, air asia be the sponsor and it will somehow benefits malaysia well just my 2cents.. peace |

I know I'm late, but what the hell... Yeah Baby!!! we are 7 points top the league
Comparing to last season, I think we are in quite a safety zone now, because last season by this time around we only leading by somewhere around 2 points. The nearest competitor was Chelsea (consistent and quality). If u ask me now, can Man Utd win all the remaining matches or continue with their consistency form? I've gotta NO. But good news is I can say NO to Liverpool as well for them to remain their consistency. Since no one can tell who gotta win until comes May, I've gotta enjoy this healthy lead every moment from now hahaha Perhaps, the advantage of being top of the table is it crates a psychology "fear" to the opponent. Opposition players will give us more respect and dare not go for fully attack even if they are losing a goal down. |

The reason why I think that the glory ManU will win this year is because they have the better roster. No matter who comes in as a substitute will work his hands to the bones for this club. That's why ManU is doing so well.

Not really man... we may go all the way unbeaten but if all the result ended as draw then it will be deep shit the cup games will be all down to luck. Chelsea will easily tip us off from the pole is we draw too many games from now on. |

History has shown that you need bigger and better squads to compete in more cups. In recent years, the 2 clubs, Chelsea and United have dominated because they had big squads. During The Chosen One's reign at Chelsea, he aimed for 2 players for each position, and they were a level above for 2 years until he left. United now is something like that. This season, I think Liverpool too has increased their squad size but the big difference now between United, Chelsea and Liverpool is that the players in United accept the rotation, with maybe the exception of Tevez who is suspect. The changing room in Chelsea and Liverpool seem to be not like that of United. There seems to be different camps and politics. I think the main factor that has kept United up there since the Premiership started is the fact that the players accept the rotation. I think SAF tinkers at least as much as Rafa, more than Chelsea, and by far more than Arsenal but because the players accept it and more importantly perform and get the results, there is little to complain. This understanding of the TEAM above individuals is the key to consistency and success. ps. I somehow have a bad feeling that Inter will bring United back down to earth, but be a lesson and boost instead to make sure United win the other competitions they are in. Hopefully, they don't crack up and end up with nothing like the "Unbeatables" who eventually lost to United. This post has been edited by BotakHead: Feb 23 2009, 05:36 PM |
