The reason why I think that the glory ManU will win this year is because they have the better roster. No matter who comes in as a substitute will work his hands to the bones for this club. That's why ManU is doing so well.
I agree. History has shown that you need bigger and better squads to compete in more cups. In recent years, the 2 clubs, Chelsea and United have dominated because they had big squads. During The Chosen One's reign at Chelsea, he aimed for 2 players for each position, and they were a level above for 2 years until he left. United now is something like that. This season, I think Liverpool too has increased their squad size but the big difference now between United, Chelsea and Liverpool is that the players in United accept the rotation, with maybe the exception of Tevez who is suspect. The changing room in Chelsea and Liverpool seem to be not like that of United. There seems to be different camps and politics.
I think the main factor that has kept United up there since the Premiership started is the fact that the players accept the rotation. I think SAF tinkers at least as much as Rafa, more than Chelsea, and by far more than Arsenal but because the players accept it and more importantly perform and get the results, there is little to complain. This understanding of the TEAM above individuals is the key to consistency and success.
ps. I somehow have a bad feeling that Inter will bring United back down to earth, but be a lesson and boost instead to make sure United win the other competitions they are in. Hopefully, they don't crack up and end up with nothing like the "Unbeatables" who eventually lost to United.
