but today,118.xx ip work well,60.54 sucks big time

Hey guys.. just a suggestion here.. when posting "wow my speed is slow".. it would be great if you guys follow a template that has something basic information like...

For me ?
Bandar Utama and Uptown area.. speed is great. I get around 150+Kbytes/s from rapidshares (premium)

Maybe it's high time someone help compile some information, i suspect some of you guys just live in bad areas and whether or not international link is fixed, your link will always forever be slow...

i've restarted my modem about 30 times this morning to get 60.50 and 60.49 but still unsuccesful.
well btw i found out 115.XX ip is the slowest of all

also if you use rapidshare try to find out which mirror you're connecting to

i am premium user..using mirror global crossing and global crossing 2 and teliasonera.
now speed is under 20kb
very insane one.

Really? For me 60.XX is heaven while 118.X is just for normal browsing or maybe youtube but definitely not RS.

While 115.X is hell....... can't do anything at all.

Worst is I have been restarting my connection from morning to get that 60.x IP but all the while I am getting 118 and 115. Oh why you are so cruel Streamyx?

Might as well shutdown and get an afternoon nap....

OMFG! this morning 11am suddenly DC all my area connection back to download speed 4kb-10kb again. watch youtube buffer alot! TMNUT! WTF U DOING!

i can surf the net quite well... no problem

after i called twice this morning and afternoon TM Careline complaining about slow connection, the line is now back to normal.

1st call the lady reset my port, but still very slow, only 200+kbps

2nd call on afternoon, its a guy who answering. he just ask some simple question and i tell him my problem. he just told me everything is fine and im getting a good IP range which is 60.53. he even told me alot of ppl is looking for this IP. but still, its slow~ nothing can be done, he just suggest to restart my port again, but i said let it be and i'll monitored the situation since im getting a "good" IP.

then after an hour which nothing is improving, i restart the modem and i get a IP of 60.51. 1st half hour still no improvement but after 30mins the line suddenly came alive and back to normal.

im now getting a speedtest result of DL 700+/UL 300+.. well, its acceptable for a 1mb line.

I'm using 60.54 so far so good

for me, 60.50 is nice, full download speed.
@ night, ~10pm, dis is where the traffic sort of high. i'll switch over to 118.101 & use proxy. also full download speed.
lolz........

tm change my area ip range back to 60.51 , 48 , 53. no longer 115 , 118.

today feel 60.48 ip better than other range

got call from tmnet operator after send email yesterday to help[at]tm.com.my

i complaint a lot about the line, and he ask me to call 100 to prepare technical report.. then i can get rebate for that...

what will occur after that? any idea or experience from all of u?

No. I didn't traveling for two years already. I'm a university student in Kuching, Sarawak. I always do research online for my school project. I have Streamyx 1 mbps package. Connection to international sites getting slow nowadays, especially the U.S. sites. Before, my browser will finish loading a Wikipedia article website at least within 10 seconds. But nowadays, Wikipedia article website need at least 5 minutes to load. Sometimes it takes longer than 15 minutes. Streamyx not only streamux but also slowmyx and also slowmux.

I tried to download the setup file for Python, an open source programming language, from http://www.python.org, the download speed always 0.x to 3.xx kb/s and the connection always lost. I really don't know what TMNUT is doing for its SLOWMUX.

I pay them RM xxx (Streamyx + service charges) every month but what I get is the peanut services from them.
