Hi tech, can intro some proxy to me? I've tried a bunch but none is working although checked at http://www.ip-adress.com/Proxy_Checker/ it says working...

My connection to internal sites is okay now, but my direct downloads shoots up to 100kb/sec then after few sec it drops down to around 8kb/sec.. anyone know how I can solve this?

If I surf to international site, especially US site, it will slow down, like TM said...
Downloading Torrent is the same, I got a extremely high download from non-US seeder... But from US seeder, sucks...
However, depends on users la, if u alone use the line, it's ok lor.. I'm using 1MB, and yesterday, I'm using it alone (my housemates weren't at home and not using internet)
(I downloaded this torrent yesterday, most of the seeders is from Europe)

You mean it'll shoot up to high speed, then after a while it stuck at around few kb/sec?

Duno leh, this "capping" problem occurs months before the international link problem which happens a week ago..

I download from 56.com and megavideo.com also got capped, first shoot up to 100kb/sec then after a while it stuck at 10kb/sec only..

56.com I think is china right..

actually using proxy also depends on time & ur current ip range.

like i found 1 nice hk proxy, but down during night time.............

i also tested pinging the same proxy wit different ip range & i found dat the different is huge.
example, if i use 60.52 wit dat proxy, speed sux @ 300+ ping.
wen get 118.101 ip, its extremely fast @ 100+ ping.

there is no perfect proxy.

different proxy for different purposes & different timing.
i'm testing a lot of proxies everyday.

to ping proxy, open run, enter "ping 'ip address here' -t"

example: ping 202.190.197.143 -t

Hm... Not sure also...It was really stable between 80-100... But when my friends came back, the speed dropped to 10-20 only...
Only at midnite onwards, the average speed back to 70-80, with 4users using the same line.

Ow, of course I use Open-Half connection breaker (I set it to 100), and TCPOptimizer... << REally really useful..

Anyone using Relakks here? I can't download torrent using it since last week. Relakks in Sweden? Not US I guess.

i use speedconnect, not freeware.
but the built in bandwidth tester & bandwidth monitor is very useful.

Still very slow , 60.53.x.x

My office's streamyx back to normal today.

Manage to get +-140kBps download from RS as a free user

My ip is 60.50.x.x

only 60.49 can gv me 170 kbps.... the rest below 10 kbps.

Haiz..Slow net better than NO net.
After the slow net almost recover to normal...now my connection totally GONE...ADSL light still ON, just couldnt get connection.
My next door also facing same problem...

Call up, complaint and got a report number...now is just wait.

By the way, I am at Bukit Beruang, Melaka. Any1 from this area facing same problem??

mayday mayday being hit by slowness again! ip 60.51

Did anybody realize that international sites are slow nowadays? I want to download some open source software but the hosting server is not in Malaysia. The download speed so slow. Wikipedia also slow. Streamyx should be Streamux.

I pay them expensive bill every month but they give me peanut services.

Yeah today it starting to crawl again. It was fine 2 days ago, using same ip 60.53 (no disconnect)
