i have read about this mifi and found out this :

Q20 Can the MiFi be charged when there is data transmission?
A20 The MiFi can't be charged when connected through USB with a PC with data transmission.

this mean we cant use mifi while charge? this will be the downside of this device then.

about my previous question, someone pro in digi can help? icon_question.gif

thanks for the reply. very appreciate it.

-how bout the extra gb and reduce fee after 1 year subscribe is this true?

-if i want to take explore 10gb i should take with modem or not? because some people say need to buy another modem to get a better speed. but which modem? newbie to this wireless broadband. tell me if im wrong.

The extra GB and reduce fee after 1 year is a retention campaign that they have. It has not been announced but certain people have gotten it, including myself.
Since it is not written anywhere in the T&C, I think this is at the sole discretion of DiGi.

The plan with modem today is so affordable. DiGi is only charging RM80 for the modem without any contract. You just have to pay another RM50 for the advance payment. Subscribe from now till end of August and you will get additional 6 months x RM20 rebate.

damn, you all can get 700k~1.4m, but kuching only can get 400k~700k.
*
i'm not sure whether there is any connection between phone line and broadband line cause i only can see my phone display 3G when i'm in kuching last month, so basically 3G line is 384k max, but with digi turbo you can get more than 384k, while in Klang my mobile phone shows 3.5G and my broadband line can get 900k to 1.2m

For those using 3Gb per month does Digi really cap your speed to 128kbps if you reach 3Gb usage?

as far as i know 128kbps = 15kB/s

is it really this slow?

dun care u r using 3gb or 10gb, as long as u reach the quota, the speed will limit at 128k, but sometimes still can reach 200k for few minutes.
i m using 3gb and 10gb nw, both are same speed limitation.

why called turbo 3g, because in this market, when ppl talk about 3g, the speed is 384k.
since digi serves 700k, the speed is almost double of 3g, 384k*2, i think that is why digi called themselves turbo 3g.

by the way, i heard one of the inside, one digi broadband tower can serve up to 20mbps. actually, i would like to add 'only' at behind.

It's HSDPA, High Speed Downlink Packet Access.....

HSDPA=3.5G=3G Turbo

It's just another terms for marketing strategy, 3G Turbo will sound more stronger than 3.5G or even HSDPA so since M & C have use HSDPA so DIGI use Digi 3G Turbo just to be different loh........

when malaysian hear turbo word sure will be charmed one.....haha " digi got turbo woh, m & c only got hsdpa....smile.gif"

When me and a couple of colleagues tested this over mamak, we can't get to use it as a router when the device is connected to the laptop. It's only when we unplugged it from the laptop's usb when we can finally use it.
