I realized that my location area (Cheras) will suffer either from congestion or 'managed' usage every time the clock hits 9pm onwards. I used to surf from 6-830pm after coming back from office and then 9 something after dinner for my assignments. So I see a dive in consistency 9pm onwards.

haha..I think my friend got conned la..he said..one of the digi staff at pc fair said that the fup for rm88 promo package is unlimited (no 10 GB limit) for those who sign up during the pc fair..we test the connection then and it is quite terrible..because our area (desa melawati) only covered by edge....lucky me not subscribe yet..

about the digi promotion @ PC Fair:

DO we have to sign for any contract? How long?
If we have used up to 10GB, are they going to cap our connection? are they going to charge us extra?

Wanna ask..is connection speed average (100Kbps ~ 250Kbps) sufficient enough to connect the Yahoo Messenger or any other chat client?..mine cannot connect..always fail and ask to retry..even my gtalk cannot connect..is it connection or the client itself problem?..

I have been told by a supervisor-rank person in the PCFAIR KLCC that for the explorer plan, after exceeded 10GB fair usage, your speed won't reduce nor they charging you extra. is this true? Because my friend subscribed last month and he told me after 10GB, digi is charging him something like 5sen per 10MB... but then, I can't find any of the related fair usage policy charging information from the digi website (their fair usage policy are just a general page descibing what is fair usage only). If this promotion I was being told is valid, then isn't the explorer package is totally rubbish? and also, those who subscirbed digi broadband last month, isn't it is quite unfair to them?

2nd, the promotion 3.6mbps... I'm not really that understand. I'm using the usb stick modem provided by them, the max can only go up to 1000+/- kilobit (divide 8 if you wan to know how much kilobytes)... it's way below their 3.6mbit/s speed. is this normal?

3rd, the so called penalty fee if I cancel my package before 12months period, let's say I cancel my package on the 2nd month and I'm going to pay RM150 penalties.. after that, is the usb modem stick mine or I'm going to return back to Digi?

I hope someone from digi or with sound knowledge of the current digi package/digi PCFair promotion package can clear off my doubts above, else I going to cancel the package within 7 days to get my refund.

speed is very slow..frequently disconnected..sometime cannot connect..error XXX occured..solved after restart the computer..haih..

i notice DiGi BB's coverage has been expanded in Pinang and KK    . how about in Klang Valley?

Personally, i feel FUP is good for overall customer... but, how slow is your speed?

i think there are something wrong in Peninsular... coz when i did speedtest last night, it traced that i'm from Sabah... instead of Kuala Lumpur (all the while it's from KL).

Digi, any update on recent slowness issue?

Could this be due to the backbone issues? IINM all landing sites in the country are controlled by TM. That's why when one link goes down all kena one.

jz received my bill, i want to ask what is stamp duty? and why is digi charging me rm15 for modem although i am on explore (rm108) package in which the modem shd be free?

Yes that's exactly my point. When I try to load a video from youtube, the loading was fast at some point it wasn't moving at all and then I open the digi software to check the stability of the connection. Believe it or not the download is 0 kpbs and the video totally not moving at all.

I feel like Digi is throttling the connection. Anyone confirm this?

Sadly to say, the connection was so bad & I really don't know why it happened.

P/s: I'm from Kota Kinabalu btw.

Hell yes.... i duno why.....when i watch youtube...it loaded very fast until some point the connection is 0 !! It's not moving at all..... By the way, I've just got digi bb yday from PC fair, and found out the latency ( PING) is so high, can't even play online game..that's pathetic.. Besides that..The connection wasn't stable at all...

Anyone experience the same too?? I'm so fed up now....thinking of canceling the contract npw.

Its weird, some applications are slow while the others doesn't seem to be affected at all. adslgorou is right, we should do some traceroute. Probably some applications are routed on a different 'link'.

Do a traceroute test and you can identify the bottleneck....

I think the whole region goes hay-wire with the 2 sea cables cut.
