QUOTE(lhooipg @ Oct 27 2010, 01:14 PM) Then maybe you are one of the luckiest one because DiGi network nowadays is suck, you read through those previous comments then you will know... Depends on the location and the type of applications that you use. I think they have started throttling P2P in a big way so if you want to download files via P2P DiGi is not the right service for you.

QUOTE(0601430 @ Apr 5 2011, 04:44 AM) for those who keep dc, here's wht me do to prevent internet dc... once you connected to 3G or HSDPA, open command prompt in your window (Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt) and type:- ping -t www.google.comthis ping test will keep sending packet data to keep the internet connection alive... if you wanna stop the ping test, juz press Ctrl + C... as far as i know Digi will disconnect your line if there's no internet activity in like 2-3 mins, thus you have to reconnect you internet again... wht this ping test will do is to make Digi thinks that there's internet activity and wont disconnect your line... hope this method will help you all from dc-ing... last time me also keep dced and very very dulan, but after using this ping test, my internet seldom dc... sometimes still dced la mayb due to line problem... p/s: this ping test wont affect your internet speed when you are surfing... so happy surfing~ ^^ This is how the wireless technology works. When the connection is idle, the network resources is released and given to the next person. When you are active again the network will provide the necessary resources for you to start surfing again. However if the network is congested, no resources can be given and thus you will experience disconnection like symptoms. Unlimited Ping will ensure that your connection is not idle thus you will not be releasing the network resources and maintain the connection stability.

QUOTE(601430 @ Apr 5 2011, 07:39 PM) ahaha better than you didnt fully utilized it by the end of bill cycle... ;P i ping whole day (24hrs), i see it only eat around 40Mb... losing tht much of quota per day nvm la, better than keep dc-ing, cannot online and never fully utilized your quota... after quota still can surf and downloading ma, juz a bit slower la ahaha... 'Fail to Registered', perhaps your credit balance is zero or expired already? or did you check your APN? i dunno bout Digi Easy Prepaid APN, but for postpaid broadband user it's '3gdgnet' while for normal prepaid user it's 'diginet'... you can try *128# and request internet setting from Digi itself... hope this will help Fail to register means that your modem have not attached itself to DiGi network. Please ensure that you see the DiGi name once you plug the modem to your laptop.

QUOTE(wadud @ Apr 24 2011, 01:47 AM) have any way to make digi 3g broadband stay on hsdpa connection and not to reduce to edge connection? perform a continuous ping to a known site. This will ensure that you won't lose the network resources. Added on April 25, 2011, 9:55 amQUOTE(Evenlight @ Apr 24 2011, 06:09 PM) DiGi speed is based on Likely Average Speed it may be less or more then 700kbps depending on your location. Get DiGi Smartplan at only RM63 per month. Buy a smart phone at discounted price as well. The smart phone is not locked so you can use it with your existing Maxis or Celcom line! QUOTE(blackwindow @ Jun 23 2011, 08:25 PM) My digi BB will disconnect when i want to login my game. I have to like reconnect for 10 times and it'll work. I just discuss the problem at D'chat and they will inform me about it in 24-48 hours. I don't think they care. Haha ! Any of you knows how to solve this problem? Try to perform continuous ping while you are on it. Open the Windows command prompt and execute the following command: ping <ip address> ip address needs to be an address of a web site on the internet (which allows ping, some web sites block ping responses). Why will this help: Wireless networks are designed to be shared among multiple users thus the resources will be distributed evenly. In the event that there are a lot of users who are connected at the same time, the will be a possibility that the network will reject existing customers who are already connected but on idle mode eg. reading web pages etc... Continuous ping will help maintain the connection and void your line from being in idle mode. However, do take note that Ping will eat up on your quota...
