I tested it out with utorrent
20 connections open for torrent no problems with surfing and MSN If anything higher, can't surf or MSN also. Its the number of connections that the modem can withstand |

Hi all, i just subscribe for the digi broadband service yesterday and i hope someone can answer the question i have.
Regarding the quota, since i subscribe for the Discover plan, it says that my quota is 3GB. My question is does this quota include both the upload and download, or only downloads of data? Thanks in advance. |

Data transfer means both upload and download.

Is there any different between our digi supplied modem, the E219 with other common ones supplied by Maxis n Celcom, E220?
Personally, i fancy the Extreme Package bundled modem. lol. Btw, i was going thru my old stuffs when i found my old cheap lappy cooler ( i think it was rm20). Well, instead of throwing it away, i am putting it to good use as cheap modem cooler. lol ![]() Lucinda, wow, not bad that you get wcdma signal too, knowing that you are right in the middle n quite far from the coverage area on both sides. Lucky you i must say. This post has been edited by talrasha: May 6 2009, 09:59 PM |

QUOTE(clsia1001 @ May 6 2009, 05:19 AM) do i nd to take my hp to digi centre for settings? if i wanna use it as HSDPA modem.i'm quite blur on the usage limit thingy, if for explore, after i use 10gb, they'll start to charge me or throttle my speed like p1? if they charge me, wat's that maximum to rm130+ thing, that means if i continue use more than that they'll cut me off? |

MaGNiFiCo,
yeahh thanks.. nbee, yeah, i think maybe you can . If you use Nokia, it is actually pretty easy to configure using Nokia PC suite, just put in the APN, and you are ready to go. Let say you decide to go for explore. Rm108 = 10gb. If you go beyond 10gb, Digi will start charging you at 0.05sen per 10mb of data. Max at rm138 before speed will be throttled at 128kbps at rm138, u will pay extra rm30 more than the usual rm108. rm30= 6gb additional usage. 0.05sen=10mb 0.5=100mb rm5 = 1gb rm5x6 = 6gb. rm138 = 16gb Main concern is, at least to have that rm138 (if fully used) at the end of billing cycle by closely monitoring your data usage, so that you wont be throttled at middle of your billing cycle. Well, i dont mind having a max of rm138 since i am sharing it with my brother. I am asking him to pay that extra rm30 for his 6gb of monthly usage. It is a good bargain for him since he cant find better ones : monthly rm30 for 6gb at average speed of 700kbps (well as course, so far the speed is 1mb+) |
