QUOTE(talrasha @ May 6 2009, 09:58 PM) Lucinda, wow, not bad that you get wcdma signal too, knowing that you are right in the middle n quite far from the coverage area on both sides. Lucky you i must say. |

QUOTE(talrasha @ May 7 2009, 11:39 AM) Thanks, just in terms of modem, when the time i bought i was too excited with the laptop and new modem, and forgot to register in huawei website, if any DiGi Broadband subscriber come with modem, gentle reminder: remember to log in hua wei to register in 4days (wrote on the card). cause after 2months i used the modem and i suspect modem problem and want to get the warranty card and check out, but what i found in the box only one piece small paper to remind to register, Yeah, i agree with that, but unfortunately, i am not in an air-conditioned room. Tee hee! So, i ve got to do best with what i have. get darn pretty hot especially from noon - 3pm+. Right now, the best solution is to have that cheap lappy cooler as my modem aka gadgets cooler. Anyway, the best way to cool down your lappy in a non-air conditioned room is by having a floor or table fan blowing near you. And i find it pretty effective too since the cooling area is quite extensive, covering my lappy, my modem and my power adapter, but since i have that extra cheap cooler, might as well i use it But too bad for me cannot do the same cooler thing to my modem, coz my modem need to stay in certain height to capture the signal, so it cannot lay down like your picture, but i plan to buy mini usb stand fan for it,heeee. |

QUOTE(clsia1001 @ May 6 2009, 05:19 AM) for 3G phone speed up to around 384KbpsHSPA phone got 2 types 3.6Mbps or 7.2Mbps (depends on phone model) personal advice: get modem, coz modem you can checked WCDMA signal only, phone normally GSM signal only or GSM and 3G while you using you will facing like sometimes falls to EDGE sometimes 3G, quite annoying for that. |

QUOTE(talrasha @ May 17 2009, 11:04 AM) I am sorry but i beg to differ on the speed issue the free modem as i read from the website suppose to be 12months. 24months contract will only apply for the latest Hp Mini Package in Penang, correct me if i m wrong about that. well, for onem i am not staying at damansara, but at cheras, and the speed has been really good to me. There are people too who arent staying at damansara but are having good speed. btw, digi has tweaked it broadband site, not bad i say. And i guess, i ll be staying with the old digi 50% modem price instead upgrading to free modem with a 24-month tenure. I am hoping that Digi will release its 3G mobile services within this 12-month period. Come on Digi, it is Time to Change to 3gmobile. ahak ahak |

QUOTE(allrightall @ May 27 2009, 05:15 PM) i tried putting the digi broadband sim into my n73, then try to surf using the built in browser, but got error. din try to connect to my pc. It could be done, go to setting and and find your access point and change to "3gdgnet" after that you could browse at your phone. If you want phone as modem need to use PC suite to connect or using manual connection as below, if you window vista: but someone before say it is possible. 1.connect your phone usb cable, 2.go Network and sharing center 3.Set up a connection or network, click on set up connection via dial up modem, after that if your phone connect successfully it will show phone model and let you chose and after that leave username and password blank, the phone number is *99# and after that click on connect, then the connection is done. if you until step 3 and cannot find your phone model, it mean your phone not connect with your laptop or pc, will advice to check whether already install phone software in your pc or laptop. remember to install phone model driver before doing any connection. QUOTE(davidmak @ Aug 6 2009, 04:57 PM) Speed is usually OK throughout the day but the period between 6pm-1am is dodgy. Because I have a day job, my time of usage is between 6pm till 11pm. FYI...Just found something "new" on DiGi Broadband web... FUP seems to really apply to the service now....haiz..... i am a usual downloader (everyday) also, bad news for me, i am pre launch package... |
