its better to know the APN and dial number as well, when needed to setup by yourself

Agreed, will come in handy let say if you use your simcard in ur HP like Nokia and connecting internet via Nokia Pc Suite. Using CBP, i cant simply choose Celcom Malaysia in Nokia PC Suite, but i need to set it manually.

Yes, it is better. Guess what last month when I was on my way to Genting and my friends asked me to surf the Internet to look for information from my netbook, I totally forgotten that I haven't installed the modem dialer at my netbook. Once installed, I forgot about the APN for DiGi EDGE. doh.gif Finally, had to call the careline to ask for it. laugh.gif
Anyway, it is always better to know. smile.gif

Just subscribed to the Explore package yesterday. My home is about 300m outside the coverage area but still can get HSDPA signal. Sometimes 1 bar, sometimes 4 bars. Average speed is about 1mbps when downloading large files. Haven't experienced disconnections so far.

Those are good consistent speeds that you're getting there even though your area is 300m outside of coverage....

Yes, I guess I'm lucky. The DiGi service center guy said I am not entitled to the 7 days money back trial period because I do not reside in the coverage area.

I used to subscribe to Maxis 3G unlimited package. The speed was much better, average around 1.5mbps. But recently the speed dropped to less than 200kbps, maybe due to congestion. So I switched to DiGi.

Awesome!! Yeah i did the same too subscribing to Digi Explore knowing that i am off about 300m from the coverage area. Like you, I get a constant 1.00-1.10mbps. Signal is from 1-4 with an average of 3bars.

Well its about the customer whether they wanna take the risk or not
The risk being that they are not entitled to the 7 days 'trial' condition

Once my area is covered by Digi broadband, say bye-bye to Celcom BB

I use 3G broadband as a backup for wired broadband.

It takes three working days for you to register. I didnt know this at first. The dealers never mentioned it to me until i called CS why i couldnt register. I got mine on last thursday, tried couple of times to register on that day, Friday and Saturday. Called CS, then the CS advised me to try again on Monday. And only on Monday did i finally succeed in registering my OCS.

Since you just activated yours yesterday, prolly, nice to try it again on Wednesday (You can keep trying on monday n tuesday too).
