Cobb: dreams (Inception) feel real while we're in it, its only when we wake up(walk out of cinema) that we realize something was actually strange....

but this weekend looks like inception are going to lose the US no 1 spot to the other guy and step up 3d. or may be it will pull off an upset by staying on top?

I remember the davy jones locker concept. Was freaky to see so many Jack Sparrow's though.

I like it because of how the tale is weaved. And i ended with my own ending which is rare for directors to give such a power.

Would love to see The Other Guys on the top spot considering how Will ferrell and Mark Walhberg are performing for the movie. All thanks to Adam McKay. haha.

I've seen it 5 times here, 6th this weekend. There are many recurring things to note as to why i think he's in a dream...

"Taking a leap of faith with me" mentioned by saito / Mal, and other people.

"When are you coming back to reality" mentioned by Michael Caine after a long pause and look at Cobb.

Mal realising that she was in a dream, thus 'taking a leap of fatih with me' at the ledge scene brings her back to the TRUE reality. They never showed her death on the street floor, But they showed other deaths consistently and clearly throughout the movie.

Narrow corridor escape in Mombassa, with Saito conveniently appearing at the end of the tunnel of light is very reminiscent of a very common dream.

Well many other significant things, but im sure its been beaten to death lol

These to me are the most compelling items that make me think he's in a dream. Watch it more, and you'll be even more convinced that it was a dream.

Yep, understand compeltely. Unfortunately a lot of people get worked up about it because they just cant accept or respect another's opinion. Thats why there's all these flamewars out there haha

When i first watched the movie, i was on the reality side, you know the typical holywood american ending. But as i watched it more and more,.. my perception changed. But like you, thats just me. hehehe

Its funny though.

I know I can watch this movie a 2nd or third time. But somehow it just doesn't motivate me anymore to go for it. Kinda weird when i really think this is one of the best offerings this year (besides Kick-Ass and my biased The A-Team. ).

I don't know. Its not that the world started discussing or something, but I guess maybe its just habit. who knows eh?

True, dude, I gotta say sorry if my post sounded serious since I didn't include any smileys. I'm also with the side of people who love to talk about this movie.

Based on my opinion and understanding of the show after watching it twice.

There are 2 ways to enter limbo.
1) By dying in a heavily sedated dream
2) By diving in too deep.

Cobb and Mal first went to limbo by diving in too deep. It was clearly stated that they got into limbo while experimenting with dreams within dreams.

Take note that the sedative is only stable up to the 3rd level. It was never formulated for a 4th level.

Another thing you'll notice is when they were talking about limbo the first time, it was said that it's just a raw collection of memories in which case would be his"cobb". And true enough, limbo belonged to cobb probably because he built it the last time he was there.

Saito and Fischer went into limbo by dying while Cobb and Ariadne went there by diving in.

I also disagree with the theory Mal was right it's a dream all along.
Why? Because she never appears in the real world. Ever.
Hence all of this line up to say it's Limbo and not level 4.

As for the end, I would like to go with the reality theory as well.
Because in the end, all of them will wake up.
Saito was already old in the final cut scene and is still remembering the agreement.
They both know they're in limbo and will obviously make the right choice.

Their bodies are all dead in level 1,2 and 3 which means killing themselves in limbo would immediately wake them up.

Hence it all lines up it's reality.
Yeah, his children are wearing the same clothes but the totem was wobbling as well. But I believe this a trick Nolan used on us to get repetitive viewings.
