The totem wobbled maybe because Mal was running very fast heading towards Cobb passing by the totem with a gun in her hand. Now.. draw another conclusion... adeh~

I was thinking, why inception is so hard to do, they do explain it, but i cant really get what they really mean.

For me, is totally possible, like how i infiltrate your dream, and tell you tomorrow Sport Toto first grand prize is this number, and when you wake up, i am 100% sure you are going to go buy the number. Wasn't that call inception? I put an idea into you, you believe is true and do it in reality?

What so hard about inception? lol

Provided you can infiltrate someone's dream and they believe that they are not dreaming. haha. If not, then tough luck.

But I do believe dreams have a very big effect in yourself that drives and motivates you to do things that you may not even realize.

I heart this.

While you have a point about dreams regarding lottery numbers but what's the scale of it? I mean, will anyone buy super big on a certain lottery number just because the number was revealed in a dream. In the movie, its about destroying an entire empire that could be a monopolizing company in the world. Surely, it will need more than just a simple revelation in the dream or as Cobb puts in, "This seed that we are planting in this man's mind will grow into an idea."

Added on August 14, 2010, 1:31 amDom's mission to incept into Fisher's mind was the result of Saito incepting into Dom's mind about going back to his children! If Saito didn't bring that thought up, Dom would have walked away with Arthur.


I was thinking of the same thing too. The camera actually focused on the totem on the floor, implying something, I would say.

well in the movie planting an idea is

impossible (according to Arthur): what will you think, if i tell you "don't think about elephant"?

"bloody difficult" (according to Eames): seed which is too complex won't be accepted

definitely possible (according to Cobb): just need to go deep enough

so combining all, planting an idea cannot be done in superficial layers and too complex, or else the subject's mind will reject the idea

In other words, when you say "don't think about elephants", for sure you'd be thinking it already. But you know its someone else who asks you to think about it, and its not ur original idea.

Hence Cobb saying that "just need to go deep enough". Seriously, if we can cook up an idea that no one else was capable before, we'd be really holding that grasp of idea and be really motivated to get it going.

hence, Inception.

Fischer was just too gullible, that's for sure

He submitted his trust 100% to "Mr Charles", and even came up with the conclusion/idea of his Uncle Peter & of his father.

All Mr Charles did was just to keep on motivate him towards his own idea

Maybe there will be special edition with deleted scenes like Avatar re-released then years on blue-ray re-re-released like Star Wars with more deleted scenes just like adding Jabba the Hutt earlier or latest edition of Luke fixing up new lightsaber.

yea that's the whole point of inception, the target need to perceive the idea came from his own mind
