QUOTE(maranello55 @ Dec 30 2009, 10:43 PM) So early....this movie is gonna be overhyped and in the end fall short of everyones expectation. Nolan have never actually made a bad film, and the last film he directed is one of the biggest hyped film of all time, to many ppl suprise it actually deliver and surpass many expectation, so i think it is safe to say this will be a good film, maybe even a great one.Typical....typical.... |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ May 9 2010, 10:30 AM) Yeah, I dont think it revealed all that much. It does give us a proper premise though, so you at least know what the movie is about now. Some prefer not knowing anything before blindly going in, but I dont think some basic information wont hurt it. And yes, "Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up we realize that something is actually strange.", is an awesome line, not because it sounds cool, but because, damn, it's so true. I guess that line provides the context in which you see all the weird stuff happening. It's certainly sounds very original and interesting and one movie I will definitely watch. i also dont think it reveal much, this talk about spoiler in trailer let me remember the worst trailer, remember the negotiator? the trailer give away the entire plot in chronological order That said, the new trailer does set it up as a rather conventionally structured film. It looks like one of those heist movies, albeit a very high concept one. You have the recruiting process, the planning, the execution, the getaway, all done with a whole bunch of varied characters. Still, I'm not going to miss it. When was the last time a big-budget film actually had an original idea of its own? Added on May 11, 2010, 3:42 pm QUOTE(maxizanc @ May 8 2010, 11:00 PM) may be the last act will be show that this is all a dream by bruce wayne and setup the plot for batman 3? QUOTE(QuickFire @ Jul 6 2010, 05:16 PM) Nice. I think the best thing I've read about it is that there is an emotional core to it. It didn't seem that way from the trailers. watch memento, you jaw will be firmly on the floor and your mind blow by the end of the movie, even though the first scene of the movie is the ending I just finished one of Nolan's films - Insomnia. Great. while the early review of inception is great there is the question of the movie being too complex and too smart for the general cinema goer and may hurt the box office performance of this movie. if this movie do perform well in the box office it might hurt nolan chance to make another original movie with a massive budget, at least before batman 3 come out and his stock rise again. QUOTE(dlct87 @ Jul 7 2010, 11:44 PM) well the studios should take part of the blame for that ("dumb-ing" down the audiences with crap movies)....but i still hope that this film will be a box office success, then we will have more original films coming out, and not films based on toys, known sources(books, series, anime)... sad but it is the fact that more movie audiences like brainless action and procedural romantic comedy, and original concept are risky to produce than a movie with built in audience, like this week can you see any movie that opened are original?tv also have the problem with dumbing down audience because it is safe way to get rating, i think that is also one of the reason why geek like lost, BSG so much because it does not dumb down the story line. QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Jul 18 2010, 06:45 PM) or avatar's plot being something orignal but seriously director like James Cameron and Spielberg have massive clout in hollywood for their track record to making hits ofter hits, nolan is still a new comer to being a hollywood elite, making a movie like inception is really a big risk for his career, if the audience cannot appreaced it he will find it hard to launch new project with this kind of budget after he exist the batman franchise. |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Jul 18 2010, 10:36 PM) Funny how Yusuf (Dileep Rao) the actor says we should "listen" rather than "watch" the final scene. While Eames (Tom Hardy) says it is "reality". The actors themselves have their own interpretation. i think this is what nolan would want, everyone arguing over the ending, like the debate for blade runner fans on Deckard as a human or replicant, in this case the writer, directory and actor are having different interpretation. This post has been edited by robertngo: Jul 18 2010, 11:26 PM |

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Jul 19 2010, 08:23 AM) I almost fell asleep in this show. Most of my friends found it entertaining but not me. did you watch any of the other Di Caprio movie? Shutter Island, The Departed, Aviator, Body of Lies, Gangs of New York I somehow think Leonardo is not the right cast for this show, reminded me too much of titanic LOL. 3/5 for me. he is not really type cast into the pretty boy lover role. |

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Jul 19 2010, 11:04 AM) its a boring movie if its not the person's type. Look at the other guy who hates. Rating it only for Action and being Funny. Heck, the guy doesn't get the story at all. this is very different from typical action movie, the action are filler in this movie, everything is about the plot, almost every scene is moving the plot forward. if someone find this movie boring i wonder how he will rate some generic romantic comedy and action movie? |

QUOTE(GuyzNexDoor @ Jul 19 2010, 11:12 AM) shutter island ending is similar to the ending of inception, it present a version of the story and then introduce doubt to that version then end the movie, leaving the audience with something to think about, in shutter island it is the light house and in inception it is the totem.Added on July 19, 2010, 11:20 amaudicen reaction to inception ending, the sound of awesome http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Audible-Aud...some-19627.html meanwhile Christian Bale comment on the ending This post has been edited by robertngo: Jul 19 2010, 11:22 AM |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jul 19 2010, 12:13 PM) Marketing definition apple have steve job's reality distortion field with place powerfull idea in your head that apple product are perfect and you cannot live without it. now that is real live inception The activities of a company associated with buying and selling a product or service. It includes advertising, selling and delivering products to people. People who work in marketing departments of companies try to get the attention of target audiences by using slogans, packaging design, celebrity endorsements and general media exposure. The four 'Ps' of marketing are product, place, price and promotion. But dont u realize why even an item so not perfect ppl still buy. U notice like virus. U pass the phone to another fren or show them u notice they buy too. |
