QUOTE(jazzy939 @ Apr 24 2010, 06:54 AM) Any LAE should be able to guide/help you out. Just a matter how you approach them. got lot of things i need to learn, means a lot of mistake i might do before there r no room for me to do an error I left MAS in 97.. Not many of the engineers hang around forums like this one... Mistakes/errors are okay at this point of time. We have no room for error when you're exercising your priviledges later.. really challenging world This post has been edited by midnightproject: Apr 25 2010, 11:29 PM |

Some you learn now, some you picked up along the way..
5 years after exercising your priviledges, then only you can call yourself experienced. Now thats roughly 10 years! |

What question?
Airlines esp. MAS and AA pays the pilot obscenely well. LAE? Like an insult! LAE in MAS still graded staff, flies ECONOMY Class. QUOTE(midnightproject @ Apr 30 2010, 01:12 AM) |

I so agree with Jazzy... they pay us LAE as though we don't have any responsibility on the aircraft.. Its safe to say that LAE carry the same responsibility/burden as pilot if not more. but pilot have much more privileges...
Local LAE's are way underpaid if you look at the hassle they have to go through... Talking bout working in countries like Dubai will earn you 20k USD, then you must be dreaming... They pay a mere 20k-25k dirham..which equals to bout RM 18-23k our money..Not to mention the skyrocket cost of living over there.. This is due to a surplus supply of man power they can get from Philipines and other countires. |

QUOTE(maryjane9996 @ Apr 29 2010, 04:55 PM) hie... abt this i'm lucky coz sooner or later i'm a lame.... benefit's of UAV (Unarmed Air Vehicle) :- *pilot is not needed in the aircraft during flight so what abt co-pilot who needs him anyway too. *pilot will be positioned in office say russia but aircraft can be in philipines. controlled directlly by satellite via NASA. *observation of pilot from control centre has assume that a pilot can control atleast 3 aircraft's during flight. so can u see how easy the airliners are tackling the needs on how to make money.... but 1 thing is very true and cannot or never be stopped is to become LAME or technician, or junior tech and so based on engineering field.... this mens are all needed to operate and maintain the aircraft..... further more, they have started now atleast 5 - 6 UAV's are travelling abv our head..... and is runned by the goverment of russia.... based on my expectations lar... i did a deep research on this what i can assume on this is... -the pass 10 years the planned and idea of creating this UAV was created.... -the pass 5 years the demo test appeard to be succesfull.... -the pass 3 and a half years the 1st UAV created, thats the time SIA bought 2 if i'm not mistaken A380. -the pass 1 year UAV has been going around freely without pilot using wave and satellite. and now u know what ICAO has took up the tendency of creating this in most of the region, as you know it is still governed by the russian's.... so pilot save up some money to kick start on something new this is not 100% fact, i'm just putting wat's going on in the aviation industry..... |

You don't get it anywhere lah.
It is a letter that you write to MAS applying for the advertised position. The addressee will be mentioned in the advert. I am sure you know how to write a letter?
You use a pen and paper! Otherwise use a word processor(WORD etc) and print in out on a printer! Include passport size photo and copies of your certificates and make sure they are CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES! This is important, otherwise your application may be rejected. Then use POSLAJU to sent it in ASAP. Easy enough? |
