how can i transfer data(game data,save data, etc) from hdd of my old ps3 to my new ps3 hdd?
just backup from old hdd to pendrive/external hdd,then restore to my new ps3?

What with all the PS3 models that is available in the market right now, few questions come to mind that seems not addressed that i think should be pinned or added to the FAQs:

1. you buy malaysia model, you did not register online within the 30 day purchase period, can you still claim FREE warranty/service within the 1 year period?
2. you buy malaysia model, it's over 1 year already, theoretically can send to local sony service center for repairs but you will be charged correct?
3. you buy other region models, there is definitely no FREE warranty/service from local sony service center BUT, can they still do the repairs for a price?
4. any other better advises for when there is problem with a non-local set?

1. Yes , u can register the warranty at any time in that year , but when reg. the warranty via online , you must enter the actual date of purchase ( the day u bought the system ) & do keep the receipt..

2. After the warranty expired ( after 1 year ) , U can still send the system to Sony Malaysia for repairs or service , but u will be charged ( parts & labour )..

3. Sony Malaysia will accept Malaysia Edition PS3 only...Others region PS3 nope.

4. Send to reputable sellers which provides repair and services or Claim warranty from the system origins..Example : SG set send to Sony Singapore

hi guys...i currentli play GTA4...i'm using Sharp Aquos 32' LCD tv..
my question is, why i cannot play GTA4 with 1080i?
After i set my ps3 display to 1080i, then i turn on the game, it change itself to 720p. Just bought my ps3 on monday.

Means the game supports up to 720p only loh

GTA4 doesn't officially support 1080i. So you have to force it into that resolution, uncheck 720p and check 1080i.

but how come the BD cover said can up to 1080i ler?

There are games like that.

Virtua Tennis 3 states it only supports 1080p.....
But by right you can play it on 1080i, 720p, and 480p fine.

how to force ler?
