Hi I just purchased a PS3 80gb from SONY Style... paid the 12 mth installment 0% interest free with DS3 bundle... no additional charge unlink Sony Center that need to add in 3% more... thank to the guys here on the pricing guide.

I have problem setting the connection on PS3 though... have 2 questions

1) How u guys know which NAT you are connected to?

2) do you guys have connection problem when u enable WEP encryption? Its strange, PS3 doesn't seem able to get the auto IP if I enable WEP, even if I set a static IP it will prompt me that DNS server problem. So I have no choice but to disable WEP then only it can work.

you mean at the Network Setting > Test Connection? strange mine didn't show the NAT info.

Regards to the WEP, I change to WAP 1 encryption, and it works... but I can't manage to make the WEP work...

hey msn83235502, thanks. I think the old firmware doesn't show the NAT type. I have updated to latest firmware now showing NAT type.

One problem still the PS Network always get DC... not sure its streamyx prob or my router... recently the streamyx is instable
anyone facing the same prob?

guys so far I only have 1 game Little Big Planet. Able to connect to PSN using Malaysia account, I'm trying quite hard to get the online play to work but when it was loading a game I don't seem able to play multiplayer online as it failed.

any bro here manage to get it online multi player? what is the best way to get multiplayer online?

u mean new game don't have this prob? I tot it was due to my modem/internet connection. But when I do a ping test from speedtest I get 500Kbits/sec. I notice sometimes my PSN id will dc by itself.

guys if I purchase a used PS3 game, is there any effect of the Region code of the game to PSN? My PS3 is R3. I saw some PS3 games which is on R1 and etc... my concern is that the game will determine which region my PSN should be connected to?

but the region code no impact to PSN? if R1 then is it my PSN also will be connected to R1?

Added on March 11, 2009, 3:54 pmone more doubt. I readjust my question. How does the region code affect the region of players in the online game server (eg/ US/Asia)? For Example my PS3 = R3, then Game = R1, does my console determine the PSN server I should be, or the Game region determines it?

Just had my first online gaming with PSN playing LBP. Its R3, and the guy that played with me is from america... hmm strange... R1 & R3 together...but I find there is 1 sec lag response... kinda anoying

get from shop la. Go to SONY style, they are more sincere with the sales. I get "REAL" 0% installment from SONY style. Other SONY like sony center will add up 3-4% on top of the price

I am not able to display via HDMI to DVI on my samsung 17"... strange, but I get it to work on a viewsonic HD widescreen 22"... is there a different type of DVI input monitors that PS3 can support?

I see... ok I checked with the DiGi people on this. There is some router with usb modem support can be used. I think a router for connection sharing is better. Looking forward to 3G DiGi. Thanks
