Hi, New user here.
Would like to ask you all, how come my gps isn't working?
I've installed google maps in the phone, but it sez no gps receiver was found.

I've set the GPS program port at COM4, and also google maps on the same port. I've also allowed windows mobile to manage access automatically.

Is there anything I've missed?

I've updated to the latest ROM also.
*
try using intermediate driver.
this solved my problem.
and refer to this:

u do realise Google maps uses internet connection? which costs a bomb?

u need either Garmin of Mapking

Hi guys,

Im using garmin and GPS works fine until recently when i i run Garmin and click View map, it takes forever (more than 30 mins) and stuck at "Searching for Satellite" page. Previously (few weeks ago) the gps lockdown is very fast, less than 30 seconds.

I tried remove the Garmin and reinstall fresh, same problem. Yes its attached to COM4 and it's enabled.

Anyone know what is the cause or my GPS receiver just spoilt like tat all of sudden? Anyone has this issue before please share your solution. Thx!

p/s: Diamond with hard SPL, Dutty's ROM.

@KiliKulu also make sure your AGPS is not activated. i dunno why but AGPS if activated Garmin will keep getting a lock and then disconnect again

Hi,

I have a Diamond with Signed HardSPL Olinex 1.30 and have flashed ROM 1.93 from 1.35 previously.

I would like to flash the 2.03 HTC ROM, however, was not succesful.

Do I need to upgrade my Hard SPL? or is the new ROM incompatible?

THanks.

all this while, if your sms isnt set to vibrate, it wont vibrate whether volume off, vibrate mode, or silent mode. period. u have to switch it on
*

[/quote]

Not really, Baronic. All this while in the old ROM, i never set the vibrating option and it does vibrates. In this new ROM, i also realised that it will only vibrate if the phone is not on standby mode. At the moment, i'm using the xda developers tweak. It's an indirect solution but it works i guess. The only problem now is that i have to make sure my hp is screen locked all the time when it's in my pocket. That's what i get for being fussy. rclxub.gif

Wake Up on New SMS --> HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <-- set to "1" by default. Change value to "0"

And to those guy on the lastest ROM (2.03 i think), just wondering do you guys have that irratating message "Your SMS had been sent" pop up each time you send a SMS? How to disable that?
*
I use SKTools for this. There's an option there to disable it.

Unsigned Hard SPL can install any rom that belongs to your device. I'm not sure if can install unsigned over signed just like that honestly. should be no problem. but as this is serious and may break your device, i'd suggest

Flash back non cooked rom (the old ones also nevermind) > flash restore spl > unsigned hard spl > any rom of your choice

@dynames, check out XDA developer....or download the rom from HTC and install, make sure correct region. lastly u may send to SIS they'll flash for u

Funny thing about HTC website is, they detect the region of the phone. So, even if you have purchased local original sets, you might not be able to download the softwares from HTC SEA. Instead, try HTC Asia or any other different region. That might allow you to download them smile.gif

Anyway, just to share. Realised HTC fixed the lousy calender bug on the TD in the 2.03 firmware. smile.gif

If i'm using the non cooked rom (HTC official 1.93.831, do i still need to do the 1st step? (flash back non cooked rom). else i'll just flash back the old SPL then reflash unsigned SPL?

TQ
