The 42 inch full HD is a waste of money. Better you get the Pana LCD. Half the price at RM3500 and you get 1080p as well.

If you see the overseas price for the plasma full HD, you will realise that the Full HD pricing in Malaysia is way too high. For £999, you can even get 50 inch Pana Full HD in the UK but here, its RM13,000

OIC.. dunno why they say it's HDready? cos 1366x768 is already HD spec.

HDready term is for those TV/panels below 1280x720 pixels (which is minimum HD requirement), that can accept a HD signal in.

Panasonic 2009 Plasma TVs are shipping now in the US.

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electro...000000000005702

Seems that HD ready series (X1 series 720p entry level - replacing PX80 or PV80 in Malaysia) pricing is lower than prev generation. Last time they introduced 42" PX80 at USD999, now 42" X1 at USD899. Featuring 2mil:1 dynamic CR or 30,000:1 (native CR). Previously 1mil:1 dynamic or 15,000:1 native. Also offering lower power consumption and 600Hz subfield drive. I edited - X1 series doesn't offer the neo-PDP panels, only S1 and higher series.

if 42" X1 at USD899, what will be the price of C1? i expect it to be lower and mainstream model (replace PV8?) since it only has 2 HDMI ports.
