QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 30 2009, 12:19 AM) @teikwing, Ah well.. one needs to pay the price for quality products right?! I have a GPS-Bay and the damn windscreen mount doesn't stick properly anymore [maybe cause I keep taking it out and fixing it on] - now when I put it up, it drops down. The last thing U want is ur mount dropping when ur i3G/i3GS is fixed to it! seriously? even branded ones are like that arr? imagine when you're speeding at like 110km/h, overtaking, looking at the iPhone for navigation and suddenly the thing dropped off.

@jackhammer84:haha. well, i think it's kinda rare lah. unless you keep take 'em off and put it on back. seems getting the cheapo RM10-15 ones has its logic. u see, even the thieves saw it rite, they would be reluctant to break-in. (cheapo ones = not GPS device) @setoyo:ehh didn't realize that. do check it out and inform us here yea. thanks in advance!

Good morning, peeps.
I browsed the first page for the shields and it seems like the SGP shield looks realllyyyy promising. Is everyone satisfied with it so far (for those who are using it)? I'm just curious if it's gonna feel plastic-ky after putting it on cuz I'm trying to get some protection that could give me the original feel as much as possible, hehe...
I'm gonna discount iShield from my list of choices since it has yellowing effect.

QUOTE(LaiN87 @ Jul 30 2009, 12:17 AM) Careful.. It seems with SGP shield you can't add anymore ultrathin casing =/ So I think not all casing can fit after using shield. Have to contact twinkles twinkies =P more about that Is that only applicable to SGP ishield or are u talking about protectors in general. I am hoping to use bodyguarz+some form of hard casing eg: SGP ultrathin or switcheasy rebel Added on July 30, 2009, 1:06 pmCan i ask what type of screen protectors and casings everyone is using to protect their gems... SGP Ultra Thin won't fit your phone with any sort of bodyshield (IS, BG, SGP shield). but it's possible with Rebel.

Just to share something strange while I'm taking close up pictures with the Griffin Clarifi case.
I took 2 pic of my laptop's keyboard focussing on the F1 key. Camera roll showed that I took 3 instead of 2. 2 pic focus on F1 key, another 1 focus on F9 key instead.
Hook the phone to my laptop, windows showed only 2 pic, 1 with F1 and another with F9. I am sure that I only snap twice when the phone was facing the F1 key.

ok guys, here's a potentially silly question. If i have already put on a full body protector film on my phone, is it necessary to buy another case for the phone? Is the protector film alone enough to protect to phone from gentle knocks and bumps?How many of you use only the film without the casing? I mean what is the trend right now I wonder....
arrggh..i m confused!!!

@cksia:
this issue is a subjective one and has been discussed previously. trend is non-existent for cases. it's all about your own preference.
either you:
1. use it nakedly and protects it with just a cloth pouch. no bulk but zero protection. 1. apply a skin which doesn't add any bulk, protects from scratches but not drops. (or use it with a pouch) 2. get a hard case (Griffin Clarifi, iClear, SE Rebel, CapsuleNeo), which adds bulk but protects the whole phone from scratches and drops. 3. get a silicone case. less bulk, protects from scratches but not major drops. 4. resort to stick-to-the-back cases (SGP Ultra Thin etc.), minimum bulk, protects the back but not the chrome bezel against dents/scratches.
and once you have a skin on, the phone will most likely not able to fit into most cases. (except pouch and silicone cases)
so seriously, there's no such thing as a perfect case. that's why there are varieties of cases in the market, for you to choose or pair them.
just get a case which u think its the best and suit your budget, usage/the way you handle your phone. period.
