u need to find the correct exposure..

if use shutter priority, aperture will be set by the camera for you.. but kit lens are not wide (as in aperture) enough..

if need to use really high shutter speed, then u'll need a fast lens (have wide aperture) like a SAL-70200G or Sigma 70-200 f/2.8

When you are using shutter priority, you can only set ya shutter speed and the computer will set the aperture for you. You can't set yourself.

well if you are capturing futsal match which is indoor activity, guess your only option is to buy flash, since indoor lighting not as good as the sun
but as for outdoor footbal, guess you gonna need to pump the ISO higher,

if in shutter priority mode, the cam will automatically adjust the best aperture for you, and mostly cases if you set shutter speed too fast or faster, confirm it will give you the minimum F number as possible

how does this lens compare to the canon & nikon version if I may ask?

deciding between the 3 lo. 17-50 is tempting, but ending at 50mm, it's a little short. siggy 24-70 pula got a history of gear stripping. Sigma malaysia only got 1 year warranty, anything happen after that 1 year, i can cry.

17-70 fits me the most. Just that, to spend 1400 for it, is it worth it? Since it doesn't have a constant 2.8 like the 17-50.

very cheap!! sony price is only RM 6699 maa...
if wanna buy bulk.. can buy by per kilogram

dunno la how if compared to N or C... never tried before..
just snapped at sony style klcc last 2 weeks.. haha

To me, I would either stay with kittehlens rather than getting Siggy 17-70mm or jump straight to a big and constant aperture lens.

better ask yourself first, do you have any urge for telephoto much?
if not go for 50f1.4 haha...so that you can have some feel of fast prime lense
