is nokia 5800 a good phone ??? cuz i went and try out nokia 5800 , the sms part is quite annoying have to tab this and that but when comes to play music . whoa ! stereo speakers was awesome , loud and clear .
the only thing is whether to choose nokia 5800 - touch screen or nokia e71 - qwerty keypad ???

u forgot one more thing, the 3.2 inch screen on the 5800 which is dam good for internet browsing and watching movies.

and like aspire2oo6 said, no point to keep asking for another half a year. no phones are perfect, even if u get a RM3000 phone there will still be things that 5800 can do and the other cant.

its just up to ur preference, for me i'd take 5800 cos its price, its screen and the virtual qwerty smile.gif

sometimes in life, u just gotta take a chance and go out for it, or u will nv know hehe.

I tought david9 is the one who ask lots of question, and is willing to wait until the price drop to rm800? Dissapeared during the new year and appeared back after the CNY break? rclxub.gif Come on, dun ask lots of repeated question. No point asking the same question over n over again bout the pro n cons of this tube and ur heart hav decided to buy the other phone. M i rite? Tat's the feeling u giv me. U r hoping others will say 5800 is a lausy phone so u can decide n b more confident wif ur choice. In this thread, no1 will said it's a lausy phone. Xcept for the problem occur for the tube

I luv the full screen virtual qwerty, the big screen mean u can actually type with 2 thumb, just like the E71, I also have hard decision between E71 and 5800, I choose 5800 cos of the big screen and the virtual qwerty and ofcos is a new os, E71 is more 4 business cost as older version software, a lot of software can run on it. jst my 2 cent rolleyes.gif

Yeah, the rubbery back casing... the stripes will you guys think it will go off very soon ? My friend's 5310 XM (thin XM) went off until very ugly.
*
I know what you mean, my sister's 3110 back rubber oso peel off n looks like some frankenstein creation doh.gif

I guess try not to touch the back of the casing or put it directly on the table and it should be ok. It doesn't feel like its gonna peel off, unlike 3110.

I must agree that the loudspeaker is really of very high quality stuff.

Am waiting for more info on reliable GPS freeware to make use of the A-GPS capability. Any advice ?

Also, I heard that this phone cannot read any attachments that comes with e-mails as it does not hv and does not support quickoffice. TRUE ?

there is no GPS freeware, even Nokia Maps is only 7-day free trial
though you can use Google Maps as it does support GPS, but u better make sure you have unlimited data plan......

you can actually install the quickoffice support that allows you to read
but dun expect to edit it, you'll have to pay for that

I just tested out the GPS thing. No Garmin or whatever, just went into "Maps" and went into offline mode. It was fun watching that red dot moving on the screen as I drive in my car. laugh.gif
