yay. got my gen-2 cps today! the car still virgin so i rode her gently. slow like a sloth. lol.

anyway, can autolock fit in nicely on the brake pedal? I have the imitation one but it couldnt fit! So i wonder if the original one will have the same problem.

How about stoplock? have to buy the one for airbag rite?

i measured the waja cps weight. its approx 1250kgs. that should make approx 100bhp/ton. to be even more conservative, lets say about 90bhp/ton. is it correct way to calculate it?

but mine is a bit heavier with full tank of fuel + subwoofer 12" enclosure + some 5-10kg sound proofing to the door n arches.

hehe..

heavier car contributes to more stability when high speed. its a matter of time for waja cps to reach that top speed only. we might loose out during sprints... but we definitely can catch up to them.. nyek nyek nyek (devil smile)

ya. the company tat i worked at got a bridge weighing scale for containers. i just kinda borrowed it.. haha..

the jerking is when we release clutch too fast at high rev. its normal i guess because its the time lag between gear changes. i would imagine the short shifter or the DSG technology in VW will come in handy to minimize the jerks... another thing to take note also if your car is still new for MT cars, tat means you haven changed gearbox oil yet. so that might also explain the slower/harder gear shifting. if urs is an AT car, then i'm not too sure already.

btw, has anyone opened up the rocker cam cover (i mean the red CPS plastic piece). mine is screwed so damn tight!! and the bolts are super small size also!!

thank you for sharing...looking forward to hear more testimony.hehe.btw,just want to know how you ppl drag your car...do you rev until redline or shift after 4-5k on the 1st gear?bcoz i notice that the cps 2nd gear and 3rd gear is stronger than the 1st gear.so reving 1st gear till redline or shift after 4-5k is better?bcoz in my opinion better get to the 2nd gear faster rather than reving additional 1k on the 1st gear to get faster acceleration.

1st gear .. for me , I dont rev more then 5k ..

my suggest is 2nd gear if 3.5k rpm and above..thn only can get the ummmppph..power....so first gear roughly hit 6k rpm shld b great...

oh well..cps power all the way till redline..y bother...

eujinee,if u rev till redline on 1st gear against someone who rev till 4-5k on 1st gear then shift to 2nd gear and rev til redline after that,u will lose that race.coz d additional 1k++ rpm on 1st gear wont giv u much acceleration. jz my opinion and thru exp.mayb other ppl got other opinion.hmm.

jctasoga,i opened my red cap before.mayb u salah turn the screw.lol

Yesterday it was heavy traffic due to Friday evening. The road was very congested from Jalan Tun Razak until Sg Besi Toll. After that i follow this one honda accord older generation than the current one. Not sure 2.0 or 2.4 ( i think 2.0) At one place we're cruising at 130kmh and suddenly i felt that the car in front of me a bit speeding and i floor it all the way until 195kmh and i can follow near him at the same pace ( same distance like 130kmh) ...then i need to exit at Bangi and the car went straight towards seremban/nilai. I felt so great that my car can reach that kind of speed following a bigger car like that and i belive we have same pickup with the VTEC...still i think it was 2.0...'I CAN FOLLOW YOUUUUUU' (kawaie vesion) hehhehee btw mine is auto  rclxm9.gif

Used to drive my mother's car, Civic `92 with the VTEC. Now riding GEN2 CPS AT. VTEC is good but CPS is like a beast. It's not meant for city driving, it's for vvvrrrrrmmmmmm............... & high speed. thumbup.gif

i think it's about power band & gear ratio.
if 1st pull till redlline, 2nd will get into CPS zone.

The part to put glue/grease to solve the fender sound..

[attachmentid=991809]
*
I have 2 weird sounds coming from my waja cps... One is the constant soft 'Tak tak' sound when driving slowly about 20-30km/h...wont notice it if driving at higher speed

Another sound is 'ngek-ngekk' coming from the right from suspension i think whenever i drive pass a bump.So your suggestion to put grease/glue is to settle the first or the second problem? Any idea where can i sort these two problems?

Anyway my car is only about 10 days old. Have already done my first 1k service 2 days ago at Mutiara Damansara service center. Total cost is about RM140 - I opted for semi synthetic instead of mineral oil which now i am starting to regret since the next service is at 5k and semi synthetic can actually last for 10k. Rugi money already..

Did my tinting from eco tint (subang) last saturday. Chose the infrared series IR -2 plus security film for the front two windows for RM1125 (RM 150 for security films)

Other than the 2 irritating sounds, the ride has been good and I am totally satisfied with the car. Average fuel consumption is about RM0.16/km.

Hope sifus here can provide some input to solve the sound problem. Thanks

ktek,i agree with u.its the ratio.but still based on exp i feel rev till 5k on 1st gear faster than rev till redline.but mayb just my feeling.hehe
