I think the China firmware is part of the APAC firmware for the chinese language for the phone. So just because China is written there doesn't mean you got a C905 from China region.
So I don't why you guys are making such a big hoo ha for what? Anyway the phone is made in China! So it's your other electrical gadgets! This post has been edited by blurjoey: Feb 20 2009, 09:08 AM |

I got the same remark from my cousin who work in a handphone shop but that is for AP C905s that manufactured before 51w08 production week that has the most problems.but what I see is that most ppl in LYN here been using the phone happily right?? Any problem/issue you face so far? Make sure you check on the sticker near the sim card slot what is the production week before you buy. It will look like 51w08 which means week 51 for year 2008. The battery also have a production week. Those here who got original is mostly after week 51 2008 onwards. But I do remember some members here using AP got no issues. Anyway which handphone is 100% problem/issue free? This post has been edited by blurjoey: Feb 20 2009, 10:05 AM |

Thanks for the info. Agree that "no handphone is 100% problem free". However wanna be sure not to get those hardware issues like LCD prob, broken speaker etc.
software issue is tolerable |

QUOTE(lim47 @ Feb 20 2009, 01:04 PM) to me, AP used to be having big different with Ori during the time which we have to goto the service centre for phone updates.but nowadays SE, Nokia etc all support the online software upgrade, so it really makes no sense to spend the extra couple of hundred just for the so called "original warranty". I had experience visiting the SE Service Centre checking for the issue on DS980 bluetooth, its an original midland one. But instead of having the technicians to check on the spot, they ask me to return tomorrow to know the result!? Somemore AP doesn't mean fake phone, just that it has a higher risk of getting fake battery, recon set etc. But if buying from trustworthy seller, its basically the same as what you got from midland and thorus. |

QUOTE(lim47 @ Feb 20 2009, 01:04 PM) Actually AP is also originals in other regions. It is because of the first batch of C905 that have all these problems. Especially those manufactured before week 51 of 2008.But there are pros and cons to buying AP or Original. So that will depends on the person who wants buy AP or Original. QUOTE(Crazegamer @ Feb 20 2009, 10:21 PM) Hi. Can someone help me with my wayfinder? I think it's a problem with streamyx when downloading the 55mb map of Malaysia. These few days streamyx is so slow or not moving at all. Tried other providers.I downloaded the wayfinder maploader. Restarted my phone as mass storage and tried to download the map for malaysia. But, it keeps staying at 0%. Help? I've downloaded at my work place much faster than streamyx. Also you can use a thumbdrive instead of the phone to download the maps from maploader. Then just copy into the M2. Added on February 21, 2009, 12:12 pm QUOTE(Dan1001 @ Feb 21 2009, 03:04 AM) hi guys, its me again. I'm going to blunt here.
