Shiho is the codename of the upcoming Cyber-shot flagship model from Sony Ericsson, and we’ve got everything about it! Its final name will be C905, and it’ll be announced along with some phones on the 17th of this month. In this post we’ll announce it for Sony Ericsson, and save them the trouble, plus give the competitors a little something to wee their pants about.

The C905 is the latest camera offering from Sony Ericsson featuring a fully spec’d 8.1 mega pixel camera with auto focus, face recognition, a new feature called Smart Contrast, image stabilization, BestPic, red-eye reduction, xenon flash as well as photoflash for both photos and videos. It’s got a video stabilizer feature as well. You can geo-tag your photos with the built-in GPS with further support for A-GPS, and the large camera resolution makes it possible to do prints in up to A3 sizes! Your photos will automatically flip to landscape mode, when you tilt your phone, as it’s got a built-in accelerometer. You’ll be able to watch your photos on a beautiful 2.4 inch QVGA-resolution scratch-resistant mineral glass TFT display. Feel like sharing your photos on a TV-set? That’s possible as well with the TV-Out Cable ITC-60, also to be announced on the 17th.

That’s not all, though… C905 will be the first feature phone by Sony Ericsson to sport built-in WiFi with DLNA-support, so all media in your home can be shared. It’s also got the latest in Bluetooth connections, supports USB 2.0 data transfers, and can be synchronized with Exchange ActiveSync.

The Sony Ericsson C905 measures 104 x 49 x 18 (19.5) millimetres, and weighs a massive 136 grams. It’ll be available in Copper Gold, Ice Silver & Night Black in early Q4, with a bundled 2 GB Memory Stick Micro M2. It comes in three variants, two with full support for UMTS and HSDPA in the certain regions (even America). The battery is good for 380 hours of standby or 9 hours of talk on GSM networks, or 360 hours of standby or 4 hours of talk on 3G networks.

booster: would suggest you to wait first for price to drop, cause ori set just released for not long, price of AP still VERY unconsistent....most of the sellers still haven't drop their AP price, waiting for water fishes to come...

If price were to drop, should be around 1.5xx, IMO

Well, I personally think it all depends on you. If you want to have a slightly better camera and the elegant slide design, then you should go for C905.

Honestly, 5800's features (touch screen, etc.) is pretty cool and tempting for the price tag it's holding. Quite worth it I should say =/

At the end of the day, it's all up 2 u bro biggrin.gif

For me, been using it for 1 month+, liking it every moment, still not bored of it yet biggrin.gif

Anyway not good to speculate bah. He might sell out cause he don't like it after buying it? Loads of people have this kind of problem, after buying it, they don't have the "feel", end up selling it out. My iphone, used for few months, also sell out edi, no longer have the feel....

So, anything, if wanna comment, just say becareful lor, no point say it's stolen or what, and ruin ppls sales wink.gif

Count me in as a new owner of the C905! I bought it yesterday in Singapore from one of their original vendors. The total came to RM2,100, due to the fact that I bought a 4GB memory card, a screen protector, an extra battery, and a desktop charger. Mine's the black one, by the way.

I haven't used it extensively yet, but so far from what I've used it for (messaging and adding contacts), it's quite a joy to use. It feels sturdy and durable.

But alas, sending animations in messages does indeed make the resulting message an MMS. doh.gif

I'm pretty sure even if it's given as incentive, 100% there will be warranty cards. I've got too many stuff as incentive/prizes etc, all have warranty cards 1 =.=

Hmm nixon, no offense, why not test it out at a shop??

To answer your questions: I've been using my silver C905, for months...still no prob, no scratch even I drop flat on group, no nothing.... Sound is loud, but ofcourse, if you were to bombard the speaker, sound wont be nice...

It's always wiser to test it out at a shop rather than shooting 1 question by 1 question, or ask 1 shot lor swt..Cos i think different ppl have different opinions, and you will be the 1 using it in the future, therefore your own preference is the best, rather than ppls POV

A bit of concern to ask.
My C905 have a bit of "defect"? The sliding screen section is kind of not so well assembly. Hmmm how to put this out. Well, is just that the main screen section are off balance and when you press on the "end call button" the section will kind of like sink down and once you release the button, the whole section will pop up.

Well, if some one understand what I mean, perhaps you can help me illustrate better or does every C905 user facing the same problem

Nop no such thing for mine, maybe you should go back to the seller and consult him/her. That's why, to the rest out there who wanna buy, please double-check, triple-check before you leave, else gg'ed.

After some consideration, the prices in the first post, which relates to sellers in LYN will be removed.

This is because I feel that it is very unethical to actually release sellers' prices, that are given to you, and you release it to the whole world. They need to do their business as well, so I don't think it's a nice thing to do by releasing prices given to u via PMs
