^ strongly agreed
OWC / crucial = the best, but cannot get locally kingston KTA / apple original = too expensive, but adding the rm350 (somewhere around that price, forgot actual price) when customizing a mac at the online store is worth it, since almost no one wanna buy 2x1gb anyway corsair / mushkin = probably best choice, no (or very few) compatibility issues, n price juz slightly more expensive than kingston KVR, maybe rm10-30 like that kingston KVR = if lucky, can work. but quite a few incompatibility problems reported around |

Altho my i5 is 4gb, it's not enough when I go full power squeezzing process of editing tiff files converted from raw + filters and whatnots. It'll start to crawl....imac i5 still uses 1066MHz DDR3 SODIMMs, same with the current macbooks Edited : I just saw the price list in C-Zone. KINGSTON PC1066 D3/ CORSAIR PC1066 D3 Notebook Ram 2GB RM175 / 4GB RM600. Is this the one ? This post has been edited by r47z: Mar 12 2010, 01:56 PM |

So using KVR is okay right? I bought some KVR ram for my iMac. My vid card went kaput a few days after I installed it. COULD IT BE RELATED ZOMG... or did I static'd while installing and blew up the vid card.

Just upgraded the RAM to 4gb and feels super fast. It's from strontium ... what a weird name.
Running Win7 in parallels is soooo smooth. |

RM600 not that bad. I think I saw OWC price for 2 sticks of 4GB each will cost a total of around the same I think. Wait till I get another MB then can swap 4GB there and get 8GB on another. Last time I saw the price it was nearly 1k
