420/33 litres = 12.7km/liter...not too bad, just a tiny bit low. FC gets better later on, not to worry.

I put RM62.50 for 34.7 liters of fuel and it runs for 490km. Light came on at 460km but continued driving. I'm sure I could've reach 500km but not bothered to try as I reach petrol station already.

Yup, I know the engine needs more running in before I get good FC readings... I think after a few more thousand KMs, my old heavy footed habits will kick in eventually tongue.gif

Anyway, for now I'm still trying to break my old records in getting the best mileage and FC. biggrin.gif

I'll be doing another of my own personal FC test once I get the K&N drop-in. No more open pods for me for now.

HKS is the green sponge element right? Nah, dun really that sort of element filteration. I used to have a K&N open pod on my previous ride as well as a K&N drop-in in sysh's rides so I'm very much stuck(like very much) with the K&N.

Definitely the sounds on open pod are.. well, lots of Omph! biggrin.gif

HKS filtration is bad but performance its slightly better as it allows more air to flow thru the filter. less restrictive=less filtration. I'm currently on HKS but thinking of changing to mugen drop in.

hey bro. are you talking about the HKS Super Power Flow? or the drop-in direct replacement?
How'd we clean it.. ie. like K&N, you have the Recharger Kit.

For the benefit of everyone, I'll try to explain, since I've installed it. Please refer to the picture below. It's quite self-explanatory. Sorry for the pic quality...a bit dark but you'll get the picture (no pun intended).

Yes sysh, the screws are 'hidden' in its locked position (refer to pic above).

I'm not saying it's impossible for a determined thief to break/saw/detach it but it makes it quite difficult to do so. Besides, there's nothing that's 100% foolproof. You are buying added peace of mind and time to stall the thief. IMO, this Aorto Lock is as good as they come for pedal locks. No messy wires cutting, no obstruction to pedals, no voiding warranty. I'm satisfied with it.

Hi All,

I have contacted the Aorto Lock distributor, if we buy in bulk (minimum 10 pieces), he can give RM 300/pc without installation.
According to him, the installation is very easy, just snap on and screw. Let me know if you are interested.

both types. its a two layer sponge with diff density. HKS is dry filter type while K&N is oil-based. HKS just take out n soak it in soup solution n dry clean it kautim. K&N as you know uses oil solution to clean it. Theres an argument here that those oil will get into your TB n clog the TB later on.

For a second I was thinking, soup solution? tongue.gif
Any soap solution is fine? or do we have to get some special type..
About the oil getting into the TB? Well... haven't had that bad exp before since I had mine in the old car for say 3+ yrs ago (unless the process takes > 5 years to clog)..

A couple things to note:

1. I think we need to establish whether the Aorta Lock is a "one size fits all". I suspect it isn't.
We'll have to wait for you to check on this for us.

2. Won't be an easy job to gather 10 ppl to buy the locks, I recommend a separate thread to be created tho, if possible? smile.gif
I wouldnt mind getting it at that rate, however it's probably the time delay which will affect my decision..

That's true, very hard to gather 10 ppl.
By the way, now you know about the selling price, you guys can demand for more discount from the shop in Klang.

I can't install now as my car only arriving somewhere March.
