I got some things from Daiso, all RM 5 each, got the tyre repair kit with 2 tyre levers, bells, lights-front and rear, .   Quite worth it , think a lot of Japanese ride bicycles, so maybe  that's why they stock these things.

But definitely no cycle computers there.

daiso
yep
i bought kinda lots of bike thingy from daiso too
well
its mostly tools actually
bike wrench, allan key sets, tyre levers, rear lights
ermm...what els...botle cage/holder, batteries
but
i will not rekomends front lights from daiso
i bought one n broke the light mounting by just overtighten it (wtf? doh.gif )
de plastic material is rubbish
but front light for 5 ringgit
i cant complain
guilty on my parts too
haha sweat.gif

n talking bout tires
cuz my footpump de pressure gauge is broken ady
so i dont realy know if de dth is in optimum condition
johny got mentioned its a high pressured tyre
so i go to petrol station air pump (hoping to get a reading from the air pump gauge)
de night befor googled bout using de petrol station air pumps for bicycles
it is realy not recommended (but stubborn me still go anyway tongue.gif )
i purposely ask for schraeder valve tube from johny last time cuz i find its more universal n more compatibility than presta valve (in dis case compatible with petrol station air pump "nozle/head")
from de net i know dat dis dth can withstand until 110 psi (i wonder if de tube can stand 110 psi too?)
but when i go at the pump the gauge ony show kpa and (another unit i fogot...lbf/inch? i tink so)
check de tyre luckily it got kpa unit oso (phew sweat.gif )
written ther 585-755 kpa
then i pump de tyre
it took just one second (seriously shocking.gif no kidding...or myb not even 1 second!) n de dial shot up to 400-500 kpa ady
i check my tyre n its rock hard...no sh*t
then pump de other one (dis time kinda scared tho...haha sweat.gif )
then i cycle away
with rock hard tyre can sprint easily (dis is nice icon_rolleyes.gif )
but then road surface is tranfered directly to u (dis is not nice shakehead.gif )
i quickly stop over at roadside n release some air from tyre
only then de dth is eating potholes n bumps for breakfast again...yay! thumbup.gif
hehe
i tink gonna invest in some tyre pressure gauge
petrol station air pump is scary sweat.gif
haha

cheers

I doubt it is caused by outside object.. twice in two days and i find nothing from outside.. I suspect is factory defect where the tire's wire came off and cut the inner tube.. a very little 1 is more than enough to cause puncture as when the first time puncture, the hole on the tube is hell small.. so small that we couldnt detect where the hole until we felt it.. Will take it back to the seller and let him check since I have yet ride for more than 5 times in total..  there should be a replacement for me.. just hope they will replace 1 for me  sad.gif
normal road.. not dare to ride it to off road.. I couldnt find anything that possible to cause puncture from outside.. not even a cut on the tire.. so i suspect should be from inner.. the tire's wire perhaps.. that's why now try to look for good tire with puncture resistant..

y i asked, cos this is what happened to me.....

few days after i got my bike, the tyre was flat..
so i remove the inner tube, tube had a patch doh.gif
who patched it?? i duno... laugh.gif i got the bike frm rodalink...

then i run my fingers across the rim surface an inside of tyre which are in
contact with the inner tube, many times, could not detect anything sharp
or poking out that can cause the puncture...

then i discovered this...

user posted image

inside the hollow space of the rim, were many tiny metal shavings...
i shake shake,,, it fell out from the valve hole...
i suspect during manufacturing when they drill the holes for spoke,
these are the debris from the process, and they never clean it properly,
i have to use vacuum to suck it out,, and after more than 1 year,
still can suck out more... doh.gif

user posted image

oso the inner tube, even tho it is schwalbe, the thickness is half of the ones
sold separately...

I think mine was also caused by the same like yours.. as the seller said the inner is quite dirty.. after he cleaned a little bit and change another new tube.. it works and i clocked another 27km tonight at putrajaya.. just finger cross that it wont happen again.. or else.. i think change tire also useless.. should get a thicker tube..
so.. what inner tube is thick and good?.. any recommendation?

The schwalbe tubes are advertised as lightweight high performance tubes. Could that be the reason the rubber is thinner?

If that's the case, it is manufacturer's fault. The bike shop should change the tyres but if they admit and detect the wire beading jutting out from the tyres.

The other day, I changed my daughter's Dahon Speed P8's Schwalbe Big Apple to my wife's bike. She didn't like it but my daughter was happy with the Dahon Rotolo's. I have an extra pair of Rotolos and I am going to take out the Big Apples. Anyone want to buy a cheap pair of Schwalbe Big Apple?  tongue.gif
*
It'll be good if you can post a photo of the two big apples here... lots of people will be keen to buy ... smile.gif
Do you also want to sell off your dahon mudguards? can I have the mudguard price? Thks..

Seriously, if weight is not the issue, I don't really go for branded inner tubes. You ride, it gets punctured, you change, you throw away. If it cost RM20 and above, it's just a waste. Sometimes, the valve is so long and you sort of flex it a little too much when trying to pump, pssstt................ Gone!

I buy them in half a dozen (I got 3 bikes at home) and it cost me RM8 each! I just make sure it's butyl rubber so they don't leak as fast. So far no issues with cheapo inner tubes! biggrin.gif

Usually Kimbell Jaya near my place. I think most inner tubes without the box is cheaper. icon_rolleyes.gif

Check out Cateye which sells them in sets. It's very much cheaper if bought together. But there are cheaper lights compared to Cateye though. Any decent bike shop should have it.

Thanks. I bought Cateye HL-EL135 which cost RM63 and Cateye TL LD-135 tat cost RM40. Unfortunately they doesn't sell combo package.

Woowee, add a bit more and I can buy the tyres for MyVI....

But Rodalink is the main Bike shop for these quality tyres.... So if you want the best, then there is a price to pay...

if that is the price for marathon plus HS 348.. then im more than happy to get it for that price.. cuz it is considered cheap.. referred to the Schwalbe's home page.. the tire for 20x1.35 is priced at USD52.55, if converted.. it cost more than RM150 per tire.. seem like I need to call rodalink whether they carry this model anot..
