Quick check with the seniors on this topic of folding bikes

Am planning to get one and would like to get the Montague Paratrooper, but the price seems to be rather high. Anyone has a favorite bike shop with excellent price that i should go to?

Was also tempted in getting the China Hummer models, but given the fact that i am about 5'8 and about 95kg, am afraid the stress i put i put on the bike will kill it faster ...

Any view on this would be appreciated and btw the last i ride was back in school days ... this something i woul dlike to get back into ... cycling

Still indecisive on either getting the montague paratrooper at 3.8k or the china hummer bout 1k plus...

Check out the folding mechanism for both and then u'll know. The clix at d frame makes a huge difference. Over here, Paratrooper @Kalachia RM3.5k and China hummer 26in @Eng Hong is RM950 (Hummer 20in is RM850). I think both r ok, just find a suitable one basing upon ur requirements. If u tend to fold a lot, then pay attention to folding mechanism. If u fold just occasionally, the ride vs budget issue comes in. Ride wise both don't differ much albeit my test was on a very short run. I had d same dilemma as u but settled for another instead. I think Bro Gilbert is using the China Hummer. Can ask his input.

Bukit Cerakah hs some killer slopes especially to the camping site and dam. 

Lets cycle this weekend then with ettige at Hulu Langat ...

You ride in Bukit Cerakah and you say Hulu Langat cannot. We are doing 1st stage only and only maybe up to the landslide part. The slopes here not as tough as Bukit Cerakah. They are longer only. 

there is an optimum position for saddle fore/aft,
kenot simply push too much to the front or back...

Bro check this out.. this foldable mountain bike is really cheap!.. so tempting.. if i have yet to get my volcano.. i will be buying this for sure..

Siao Lang.. some more its low spec of 26" Hummer, only 21 Speed..

RM950 can get 24 speed. Then i upgrade sanddle, tyre, 11T cassette and 52T crankset. total also NO need RM2400 .
And i still get better upgrade part.

Ordering online, hmmm...... pictures doesn't give a real impression of the saddles. Try visiting bike shops and take a look see, look see. Selle Royal has man specifics, woman specifics and also for both sexes. It is stated in the cards displayed. Rodalink has the most range. It's slightly expensive but you can get the model description and ask your favorite bike shop to order.
