so u gonna spend 1.3k on a brand new phone even when u know some problems exist,
then send it to NCC few days after u used it?

why not wait for the 2nd batch where the problem might be solved?
*
And wait until when since we don't know when or how to differentiate the batches. I think as long as you have Nokia warranty and you're not left alone good enough liao. Otherwise don't wait. Might as well skip it. More exciting phones coming up. rclxms.gif

Where can I get the dictionary package for talking dictionary?I have soft reset the fone and install talking dictionary but application won't launch cuase there were no dictionary package.
*
this is also my problem since last night...
noob question: what does "root of memory card" mean?
talking dictionary app instruction is to cut and paste the 5 files to the "root of the memory card"
maybe this is why i get "install package" when i try and open the talking dictionary app...

whoo, took me almost 2 hrs to backread. server busy some more

so anyone want to bulk purchase the invisible shield? smile.gif

My post may be late but let me warn you, invisible shield will TURN YELLOW and make your phone look old and ugly. I paid $35 each for my PSP and old HP invisible shield and both turned yellow, lots of complains from other users also. I think you're better off getting a martin fields screen protector and a nice cover.

Yeah, rarely I see lowyat's server going slow and busy. Something must be wrong here.

Anyway to answer your question, 'root of the memory card' meaning the very first path you open. For example your memory card drive letter is D:. You click on D to open it. The view you see is the root.

I agree with davidmak, I'm getting the phone even knowing of its problems. As long its under warranty and the problem can be fixed, then why wait. There's never gonna be a perfect phone...heck I wished the Tube is a lot thinner like the E71 but for the price.. thumbup.gif . icon_rolleyes.gif ...

Yeah agree. Not to mention, the material is soft so it will get temporary 'scaring' or 'marking' if you place it over rough surfaces. Also it depends how the product is pre-cut and how accurate it is cut. I bought one for my Touch Diamond and the end result wasn't attractive at all. The lines/cut makes it look bad and cheap.

Judging the lines and surfaces of the Nokia 5800, I think it'll be difficult to cover the entire phone and not have extra fragments which needs some cutting.

I manage to solve the talking dic problem. What you need to do is to copy each folder "data", "private", "resource", "sys", "readme.doc" and "talking dic.sis" into E:/ (do not copy the whole talking dic folder to E:\ as it simply won't work.

Be extreme careful how you copy as originally E:\ already contain date, private folders, make sure you do not delete other files. I would not know what will be the consequence if you do it wrongly. Have fun biggrin.gif

Use the Skool brand, I am using it for awhile now. No problem with fitting and screen sensitivity. thumbup.gif

Let me guess, bend more to allow more contact right? the volume soft was due to intermittent contact of the earpiece speaker, so bend more allow more secure contact. Dont flame just guess tongue.gif

1st i follow all the step....using the spectrum only...

then i pull out the earpiece with small screw drive...

then terbalikkan speaker tu nampak 2 connector...connector tu i kiaw lagi ke atas..both side...sebab bila ia terkeluar ia akan kena tepat & mampat pada board...then i pasang...superb....

I'm gonna follow this procedure too. So no screw removals involved right? Just use plectrum to separate the top casing.
