I never took any picture of the two pieces I done with him, so I can't show off here  biggrin.gif  .. zhou86 and shauno had pieces done from him, they might have some pictures. Of course, his tumblr showcases a few items as well: http://jeremytok.tumblr.com/

He is detailed and fussy about his work, which I liked because I have seen him just redo a part because he felt there was a small part that didn't sit right. Secondly, he is very open to ideas and suggestions but is not 'kedekut' in sharing what he knows. Finally, he doesn't do hard sell and is pretty transparent in his dealings, which I always appreciate.

My first piece with him, I had zero idea what I wanted, he guided me and explained to me the differences between all the options available and the reasoning behind certain choices.. so for my second, I had a much better clue about what i had in mind.. what are you going for?

p/s: hmm.. maybe I should take some pictures  tongue.gif

Tailors of AL's age are usually not that receptive to personalized demands and tend to deliver their house cut. It worked out fine for me as I prefer a more classic (not dated) cut.

Yep, but he does give in slightly, though I agree it's pointless if I go to him and ask him to do something that is completely out of his philosophy.

ok here's a slightly dated photo of JT's work. see if any eagle eyes here can figure out the problem with this, which he has subsequently fixed.

Guys, I'm working in the hotel line and need a suit as 'uniform'.

Would appreciate if someone could point out where i can get a blazer and pants tailored @RM800+- budget. Material doesn't really matter just a plain black suit for work.

I need it to be tailored cause i'm rather small in size and anything off the shelf does not fit me at all even at the smallest size.

Recently commissioned a suit in our neighbour Jkt, as i often travel there for work. Surprisingly having looked around quite a few tailors there still offers full canvassed suits. So I went for a fully canvassed 3 piece suit - just had first fitting last week. I will keep those interested posted once the suit is done.

Oh and price? It is almost half of what you pay in KL (i brought my own cloth); for both full and half canvassed suits..

Cheers.

Say, if I buy a suit off the shelf and only need minor alteration on the sleeve and the back, any shops that can do this? PJ or KL?

anyone tried suit/jacket from Burton Menswear? Comapre to G2000 and Zara, Burton is cheaper. Quality wise I am not sure. Ya, can machine wash.

I think the experience is probably the same as Bangkok, it was part of my plan later this year.

Probably can afford to be more adventurous with the choice of cloth and design since it's cheap. From what I remember, they are pretty good at copy work so do bring along one of your current pieces that fits you great and just ask them to copy it as close as possible.
