Hi, I am looking for a suit for my wedding end of the year, december. Most probably looking for a tailored one since I can use the suit for a long time.

I had a few recommendations from friends, but just asking here to see any other recommendations.

Budget maybe below RM2k for a full set?

Anyone heard from Ron Ng Tailor? A review: http://ruecardengineer.blogspot.com/2014/0...uit-ron-ng.html

And got ppl recommend me Wardrobe and Bespoke from 1U (but I think these 2 are over my budget)

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

And I just saw Star2.com show Lord's tailor: http://www.star2.com/style/men/2015/07/30/...eams-come-true/

Go with Jeremy Tok. Let me know if you need his contact. You can look at his work by goggling him or he post quite regularly in thekerbau.com

Does he have a shop or by appointment only? And what is the price range? smile.gif

By appointment, I suggest you meet up with him for a chat, there is no obligation to outright purchase one.

It should be around 1.6k for a set of suit and pants.
*
Okok, do send me a PM of his contacts please. smile.gif And reviews just by Google will be able to find yea?

Met up with Jeremy last Saturday, got my measurements done and ordered a 3-piece Navy Blue suit, can't wait to try it on.

Jeremy was very patient and accommodating. smile.gif

so how much is the damage?
*
Basic 2-piece is RM1600, but I opted for a vest to make it a 3-piece (+RM500), and opted for a special patterned blue/gold lining (+RM150), amount up to RM2250.

Quite the opposite of his online persona huh biggrin.gif
*
Haha, I am not really familiar with his online persona, as you can see I usually hang around in the Android geeky section. tongue.gif Plus this is my first ever bespoke. biggrin.gif

How long for does it take for him to make the suit?
*
He mentioned for the whole process about 2 months, with 2 fittings, first fitting 2 weeks after measurements taken.

You can check his brochure here: http://jeremytok.com/home/jeremytok/files/brochure-1.pdf

Congratulations, hope you give him enough of a challenge in making your suit tongue.gif

His online persona can be seen as quite froward and brash, so he can come off as off putting to some, but I think it's nice that he doesn't beat around the bush!
*
Haha, I think mine was really common & basic...so not much of a challenge I think. tongue.gif

Would love to see the photos from your fitting session smile.gif

Haha, didn't manage to take any photos. sweat.gif

But it was quite a simple session, he just put pins to adjust the waist area, and also the trousers. Overall took only half an hour.

hi guys.. any tailor recommended around melaka/ seremban? looking to make a suit for my graduation. five years of studies and i finally going to graduate. been deferring my plan to make a suit due to financial reason. recently attended an annual dinner without suit and felt really underdressed. thanks in advance

If Melaka, you can try BOS at Jalan Bunga Raya or C&Y, cost around RM900+.

I never took any picture of the two pieces I done with him, so I can't show off here  biggrin.gif  .. zhou86 and shauno had pieces done from him, they might have some pictures. Of course, his tumblr showcases a few items as well: http://jeremytok.tumblr.com/

He is detailed and fussy about his work, which I liked because I have seen him just redo a part because he felt there was a small part that didn't sit right. Secondly, he is very open to ideas and suggestions but is not 'kedekut' in sharing what he knows. Finally, he doesn't do hard sell and is pretty transparent in his dealings, which I always appreciate.

My first piece with him, I had zero idea what I wanted, he guided me and explained to me the differences between all the options available and the reasoning behind certain choices.. so for my second, I had a much better clue about what i had in mind.. what are you going for?

p/s: hmm.. maybe I should take some pictures  tongue.gif
*
Haha I don't exactly have a pic of myself in it too.
