Got some shirts for cny from ah loke tailor.

Fantastic. He made it fashionable yet comfortable. Of course with guidance.

Used to go to wardrobe. They have the fabric and style but couldnt do the comfort.

A fashionable shirt from our subforum's most favourite tailor Ah Loke? You sure? Skinny fit with funky design? tongue.gif I'd really love to see a picture of that.

i paid 280

don't have the photo but it looks something like

http://pure-evil.tumblr.com/post/28827754799

I choosed the larger squares

The shirt is slim on and the waist. bells out and long towards your butt. creating the broad shoulder from the back.

sleeves are fitting to make your arms too good.

like most of the stuff here http://pure-evil.tumblr.com/

280? His mat? What kind?

As for ah loke being fashionable... one look at his place would bring a lot of doubts on that tongue.gif

So guys, any tailor recommendation around pj/subang?

Prefer not those which are very expensive. Budget around 2k for 2 piece.
de-catano and all, doesn't really impress me. finishing very bad.

i know beggars can't choose but i just want something that is worth paying 2k for.

thanks!

guys, anyone can recommend a good place to alter the sleeves of a suit/jacket? would prefer if the tailor can do it from the shoulder rather than doing it at the end of the hand.

Then be prepared to fork out a considerable amount of money, IF the tailor agrees to do it.

But "good place" and "altering the sleeves from the shoulder" seam is a bit of an oxymoron here. A competent tailor would reject your request. A tailor that accepts the job is not competent.

Unless you know the tailor I know. But even he wouldn't bother with such alterations as they're not financially feasible.

hey guys, i read a thread here somewhere saying that its better to buy your own material to make a suit, as they would charge you premium price for a decent quality material. Some of u guys suggested to get them on ebay, but im would like to know how many meters should i get to make a 2 piece suit.

Im fairly big size, 6'0 height, Chest is around 54" and waist is around 36" (at least thats what the pants say), should i just get 4m worth of fabric.?

If solid colour,3.8 meters would be enough

I'm about 175cm, waist 33. A solid 4m makes me a 3 piece...

Guys I have a very general question here.

Is it possible to alter a western checkered shirt at any tailor shop? I have no idea what it is called but it is a kind of shirt that have the checkered pattern.

Eg. http://i.imgur.com/U9VkpFo.jpg

I'd like to alter it to fit my body size. Maybe cut the bottom and the sides.

any tailor would be able to do it at quite minimal cost.

they will need to measure your body and fit the shirt on you

Any tailor including those who do blazer stuff? I'm afraid they can't do it just because they only do blazers.

Yes and No sweat.gif

Sg Wang, majority they do..

Other malls, you might want to check with them if they accept.

If your neighborhood have any tailor, you may consider as this is not a difficult job.
