QUOTE(jind86 @ Dec 30 2008, 07:03 PM) my tailor is actually like my doctor, when my clothes feel ill-fitting, i consult my tailor.. the fact is actually clothes off-the-rack are made to fit a mannequin, and every person's body is shaped differently.. im not sure if it is just me (which is why i started this poll), but i have altered practically every clothing article from t-shirts, polo-t's, short pants, jeans, khakis, dress shirts, and sportsjackets.. you are welcomed to give further explanation on your decision.. hi jind86, i would like to alter some of my shirts and polo T but I have no clue which tailor should i look for. would you mind sharing your tailor with me?

ALWAYS ALWAYS try on your clothes after the alterations have been done, and if for example you feel that the pant/shirt length is not short enough etc, do let them know so they can redo it, they wont double charge.. Any idea roughly how much it would cost to have the shoulder and sleeve length of a suit jacket altered at the tailors you guys normally go to? Thanks. This post has been edited by Fusion[eX]: Dec 31 2008, 03:23 AM

ive actually went around finding tailors to bring in the shoulders of my jacket, however no one was good enough.. i even went to Lord's but they were not able to do so.. the only place who was able to fulfill my request is my current tailor - Ruth's alteration..
shoulders = RM50 sleeve = RM60

@jind86> Many thanks for the info, jind. Indeed dealing with the shoulder is hard especially when they need to deal with the shoulder pad and/or roped shoulders. Not good a job and the back of the jacket might have a curl below the collar.
@washabushi> Also, Topman name the type of jeans as Twister Jeans.

Workmanship, great, pro tailor and advice and explanation about quality and type given. Located at The Gardens, Isetan third floor and Sogo. I only know this 2.

I need to alter my shirt too. The shoulder and sleeve lengths are ok but the width (the torso part) is too big. Really look untidy when I tuck in. Can that part be altered? Basically how much?
