Guys, Just would like to hear some voice from you all as i be getting my Persona soon. I was being offered with a Tinted Voucher for Ray Tech, but i heard too many rumors about the whether with or without the quote price at the end are the same as they used this part of the trick to get your business... I dunno what is the price range & brand best for our Persona car on tinted.. Mind to share your experience in tinted your Proton Persona? Myself a newbie toward all this tint stuff and hope to be able to hear some advice and suggestion, which brand of tint is suitable for Persona (Metal Grey) as i know some tint come with various colour to match with our car paint There were a lot of type in tinted as i know such as heat rejection n so on.. etc My budget were around RM700 to RM800, Car will mostly suffer under the SUN due to parking at working place~ Thanks for your comments

QUOTE(loong2020 @ Aug 13 2009, 01:28 PM) noisy engine..."klonk,klonk" sound like some said its sound like old diesel or old taxi engine sound... ...lucky mine is 1st batch without iafm...no problem..even pickup not good... Added on August 13, 2009, 1:29 pmits normal..impossible IAFM spoil when its new....mostly is the engine fan sound....normal thing...even old mercs also sounded louder...but important factor is interior quiet erm...How noticeable is the 'klonk klonk' sound? if IAFM kong what is the impact? IAFM lifespan so short only meh? All lpersona (B-Line/M-Line/H-Line/SE) using the same module of IAFM?

loong2020, I fixed my 4 door insulation at Pitstop, Sunway for RM298. Apparently this is the promotional price, comes with a layer of SP Mat for sound insulation/absorption and another layer of Superlon for heatproofing. The 2nd layer of Superlon heatproofing provides minimal sound absorption properties, but it helps to protect the layer of SP Mat from melting and also keeps your vehicle a little cooler (effect is negligible though.. LOL). A lot of forummers like to Insulflex and Superlon to suppress sound, but IMO these 2 materials have very little sound suppression ability, because they are meant for *heat* application (ie heatproofing for aircond pipes). Even if the pads can absorb vibration, the effect is quite minute and mostly psychological. Of course, this is open for debate as my reasoning consists of some scientific explanation, some hunting in forums and feedback from my friends.
stanley984, If you park your car under the sun most of the time, consider to invest more in a good tint ie. VKool as it will be good for your interior in the long run. Low end (RM200+) to mid range (500-700) tints will be good enough for average joe like me, but considering that your interior will be literally baked by the hot scorching sun most of the time, your interior will deteriorate faster using these low end to mid range tints. Consider forking 1.5-2K for a good Vkool tint - make sure its genuine and passes JPJ checks!

Well, to consider on high quality tint probably would be out of my scope that what i hope to find a good quality tint which budget around 800plus plus.. i understand the fact my car would required but i seek for a brand which fitted into my demands + budgets.. Does anyone know would the tint voucher given by the SA, would it be difference to direct quote a price with the Tint Shop dealer or with Voucher would sure be cheaper compare to those don't have...???? Guys, what type of tint you all using out there for your Proton Persona? What colour of the tint to suit with your car paint?

It may look pretty much stylish toward the car if the tint color suit with the car paint. I bet you thinking over about dark dark on the color RM650 i guess possible around low or mid range quality tint.. I heard about tint master, response also just fine only.. maybe listen to more others will help, i would hope to get a real good heat rejection tint
