Check out Coolangatta Ocean View. Family room can fit 5 ppl.
Stayed there in '08 -- close to beaches and Coolangatta town centre. Nice spot.

25km only. In any case if you visit the Gold Coast, rent a car for best mobility. Then can drive north to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and south to beautiful Byron Bay also.

I would rather pay abit more to stay besides Surfer's Paradise then. There are good family apartments you can rent at about AUD100/night if more than 7 days...wink.gif

I was quoted 480 AUD for 5 nights, 4 pax for Surfers Hawaiian (going on first week of June). No sure if that is the best deal though.
Also, we have paid 200 AUD as deposit plus another 300 AUD authority or cash bond in case there is any damage.
My ticket was around RM 670.

480 AUD for 5 nights, 4 pax at Surfers Hawaiian is a very good deal. Which website you get that offer from, and how do you place your booking? Mine is on the second week.

Thanks for sharing.
