I also planning to go to GC. Still looking around for cheap Airasia fair. Also, not sure which hotel is good. Must be at least 3 star cause my family is clean freaks. So, once there, what is the mode of transportation? Easy like Singapore?

it depends on where is your hotel. If it is located right in the middle of surfer's paradise then you can just walk around. Go to the beach or walk around and survey restaurants and so on. If it's far from surfer's paradise then you can just take a cab or bus to surfer's paradise.

If you have not done your buying of tickets and so on, this would be a good time t o start buying all the packages for going to theme parks and so on.

the main location at surfer's paradise is not that big. I guess you can call that the "town" center of surfer's paradise. This is the main location where you can go to the beach easily. Surrounding have lots of food and pubs frequented by the locals. There is also some sort of night market there during one of the week days. That is the location I am talking about. Or yeah..the last time I went, there were building some sort of ferris wheel. So it's easy to spot.

I was lucky to be staying at the hotel where the it is right above a shopping center. So buying stuffs are very convenient. then just 2 minutes walk to the beach to enjoy the smooth sand under the feet. I forgot that hotel's name. But the whole free and easy trip was booked through reliance.

Dear humble travelers and forumers alike, this Friday I will be heading off on company trip to Gold Coast, Australia. Itinerary of events are as shown below. I would like to hear your suggestions on what I should pack for my 5 day travel and do share any personal experience/tips regarding the places I would be visiting there and such.  icon_question.gif

Your time is much appreciated, thanks in advance!  icon_rolleyes.gif

P/S: Last time I went Australia was 5 years ago, I'd be using the same old huge luggage bag to travel this time too.  sweat.gif

Hey...your itinerary looks exactly like mine a few years back. Seems you this is the standard package offered by traveling agencies. For those potential goldcoast traveler, this itinerary is suitable for family. I am just surprised you only spend half a day in movieworld. Also, I did not go to waterworld. I went to dreamworld instead.

Apart from the almost everything same with me. I also went to wax museum which I think is a bit too expensive for such a small exhibit.
