2011/07/06

Finally, a piece of news that presents a devastating blow to institutions that skyrocketed over the quotas.. The primary root of the inflation of doctors.

QUOTE(reconnaissance @ Jul 6 2011, 02:11 PM) Finally, a piece of news that presents a devastating blow to institutions that skyrocketed over the quotas.. The primary root of the inflation of doctors. 1. the primary source of 'inflation', or increase of doctors is the 1000 new doctors each from russia and egypt........the ipts contributes little additions, in this case, only an extra 80 plus over their license for 150....... 2. it is not a 'devastating' blow, they just need to refund those who had to leave.......and they will be back to business as usual next year, once their license is reinstated.....yes it WILL be reinstated.........

Hi,
I am interested in doing MBBS at Taylor's, just wondering any existing students could share with me their experience in Taylor's medical degree. How is the facility and lecturers. I went for their open day, seems like most of the lecturers there are from India.
I am particularly interested in the St George twinning as I want to go to London.

A2, chem, physics, bio, maths and further maths. I know i should apply direct but several personal issues prevent it. I want to go to a uni in London, and do not like the uncertainty in choosing a uni as in IMU.

Thanks! Apply direct is not easy esp for medicine in London. My friend with A*A*AA did not get a single offer last year.
I also have some personl reasons preventing me fr going to London for the next 2 years.

I want to go to a uni in London, and do not like the uncertainty in choosing a uni as in IMU. just to state that maths and further maths are considered only as one A2 subject for most of UK medic school, so you won't have the advantage of having an extra subject for admission purposes. But then having 4 subjects is competitive enough for most medic school.

It is actually my sister, she works there. My parent sponsored her studies, she sort of required to sponsor mine too by providing free lodging and food. I guess is the Asian way but she is the one who ask me to go to London. Her flat is actually not that far from St George, hence I am looking into Taylor's. Ideally, I would like to go to Edinburgh!

I thought once you are accepted during the interview by St George, and provided you don't fail any exams, you are guaranteed a place to St George. What is bothering me now is nobody seems to be going to St George from Taylor's, I am a bit concern about the standard of teaching in Taylor's.
