I'd like to take this chance to warn wandering potential students of the Perdana University John Hopkins Graduate Programme..
The Graduate Programme mimic the curriculum and syllabi of John Hopkins medicine courses. Never did they state students would receive recognition above the ordinary programme Perdana University offers. Never did they state students would receive certification from John Hopkins. Even worse, as far as my memory would refresh me of their advertisement, the affliation with John Hopkins is nothing much other than to endorse the use of the curriculum and to ditto their graduate programme.
Some would argue that it's not in their best interest to advertise those missing details, but beside the advertisements would certainly be their ordinary programme with collaboration with the Royal College of Surgery in Ireland, and they publically, and proudly advertise the certain recognition and certification by the Irish programme. That, in which the latter advertisement lacks.
In my humble opinion, Perdana University John Hopkins Graduate Programme is a ripoff compared to its Irish programme cousin, where certification of MB BChir BaO along with their local Licentiate would be conferred. sleep.gif

The difference of those two degree is just the name. Both recognition is exactly the same.. You couldn't expect that all the academic qualification in the world from pre-globalisation to be the same, since, well, it was before globalisation..
However, though it would seemed that having a medical degree with a longer name is cool or professional, it is far from the truth. One glance and anyone in the medical field would differentiate you of your area of study. MD from American region, MB BChir BaO is from Irish region, MBBS is from British and Commonwealth area.
By the way, you should've just use Wikipedia for this information. It's far more detailed. sleep.gif
