relax... haha. sorry for disappearing for a very long tym. those who apply gudluk. juz wanna inform u guys. starting from my batch(dme 25), seatym required is at least 12 months. so far i've completed 8 month. going to be 9 at early may.

huhu. let me tell u guys a little bit about the place i go. my ship is tanker(oil carrier) we go to US, columbia, mexico, venezuela, taiwan, australia, singapore, cape town. haha. plenty place man.

lyf onboard is gud if u're hardworking and smart. but i'll tell u one thing. before u guys go onboard, try to throw the habit of lying. onboard ship, it is ok if u're stupid. bcause when u work hard, people will teach u lot's of thing. but when u're lazy and always bullshitting, people will continuously f**k(this is normal onboard, so get use to it) u.

any questions just forward it here since i've been back in m'sia. still onboard ship. juz that my ship go to dry docking in pasir gudang. we'll be here for approximately one week.

lyf onboard dpends. ship condition will determine whether u'll have good lyf or f**k up lyf. huhu.

SMA is one of the most prestigious maritime school in this region. they have very good facilities.

alam is also ok. and if you're lucky and smart enough, u'll stand a chance to go to United States Merchant Marine Academy, new york. my batch mate 4 of them go there. but this only applicable to MISC and AET sponsored cadets.

for those who get GMV sponsonsorship, u shud be happy coz ur allowance is rm100 higher than other sponsor and onboard allowance i heard it is about usd400. the more cgpa u get, they'll also increase ur allowance.

bumi armada sponsored also shud be happy coz this company pay up to rm45000 per month for senior 2nd officer with DP(dynamic positioning) certificates.

may i knw, when alam application is gonna open, for new batch students

may is induction, course commencing in august, if thats wt u mean.. if u mean application for next intake, it will reopen next year.

MISC sponsor shud be happy or not?

juz be happy. in aet they pay usd2200++ for fresh diploma grad from alam. huhu. good enough for me. u guys still not satisfied r?

basically, aet and misc pay the same rate.

I went for ALAM interview for AET sponsor and i didn't get it .... Mayb can i call ALAM to confirm it ?? I went interview on 2nd April 2010...

So... If i were to self-sponsor for my own in Sarawak Maritime Academy ( SMA ). Can i get a job in AET or other shipping company after graduating from there ??? I am afraid that Sarawak Maritime Academy isn't recognize compare to ALAM and maybe i will have difficulty in finding jobs ?? Is that true ??

ALAM doesnt sponsor students.. shipping company does.
