The intake should be closed by now. I'm starting school on 19th April. Lemonish and xPC12x, i suggest both of you give Singapore Polytechnic Admission office a call @ +65 6772 1882. Ask them about the course; how the application goes about for SPM students. You can use it as a backup just in case you don't get ALAM. But if you're self-sponsoring yourself, then by all means go for Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA). Its one of the best in the region. I've calculated the cost to be slightly above RM60,000 (tuition fees + living expenses) over the course of 3 years. You can take up bank loan, school loan, scholarships, epf withdrawal to further decrease the amount you have to pay at the beginning.

From the results, you can see the profiles of those managers, directors, advisors. Some of them have sea-going experiences. Read their story! How they went from sea-going to having a job back on land. If you want the inside juice, you can even email them!

went to ALAM melaka today.
bloody hell. took me about about almost 2 hours just to find the place.
and its at the border of N.9 and Melaka.
hahah.
seriously, the moment i stepped in to the ground of ALAM.
the feeling you get, it's jst priceless. 
hahahahaha!
ermm... so i talked to a guy called Hairul Nizam.
he saw my results and he was like okayy. as long as you got 5 credits,
you're MOST probably in. then he said he'll pass my application and results
to the management and they'll gimme a call within a week.
after that, you gottaa sit for an Entrance test and if u pass, medical check-up.

He said the total course fee is RM70k:
-tuition fee
-accomodation
-food!
-modular
-and also, monthly allowance of rm200.
ahhaa. it practically covers everything laa.
and you can pay Semester by semester.
huhu.
