of course laa..

aet might be la ..
misc for sure would NOT, they only sponsor cadets in ALAM

forgot to tell, PUO has no nautical studies ....only marine eng

nice? lulz...the life onbaord isnt fun at all, u work there, not enjoy ... u will get f*** by 'train' if u r wrongdoing.. thumbup.gif

yes, there even hv students having sponsorship from maersk line etc, european shipping company but main are s'pore based company

btw, fyi aet was belonged to neptune orient line before misc bought over
*
yea, but how do we apply for that sponsorship. or do they offer?? .. hoping to get ap moller sponsorship.. lol..

im unsure...

but i heard it's almost same as ALAM, u apply, if succeed, u will get a sponsor by default...maybe not fully sponsored like alam...i.e partially sponsored...food n lodging r not covered
besides, the family part also a essential issue to consider..
once u hv joined, there is no turning back unless u strike hard to finish the contract for coming decade n change ur path to onshore

*
I see.. that might be a problem.. coz i'm not from a rich family, i really need sponsorship... i need more details on singapore poly guys.. can someone fill me with details?? google ain't helping much...

for guys whose BMI is slightly exceeded 22, is consider okay yet..

but for obese guys... ur chance to be selected is slashed by 50%..i am very sure that ALAM hates fatso..

on my batch, 09 intake, I hardly can see any fat guys, nevertheless there are few, not more than 5, obese guys out of 169 cadets.

but for earlier intake, there are few super-big sized ones
*
they want people with bmi 18.5 - 24.9 .. 22 is just right... mine is 30...

they will not only conduct eye test but full body medical checkup from particular clinic approved by marine department before u entering alam.

btw, there is nothing to cheat, for academics, u need to show them ur hard copy..

for weight, may be u can cheat for ~ 5 kg...that's all..
alam's selection process is more stages than PUO,
PUO has very low requirement, they choose for non-colour blind n passed all the core subjects in spm ..even if u get D for english, u will be called for interview.
CGPA 1.0 to pass overall semester.

for ALAM, u need at least C6 in spm to begin with, technical subject is like engineering drawing or some kinds of SMK Teknik courses subjects,
this year the sponsor's requirement(except bumi armada, jpa, felda..) is 3.0 of CGPA, 1.7CGPA for alam itself to pass overall semester.
if u failed add math in spm, i suggest u take nautical studies or PUO's marine engineering...alam marine eng i think is way too tough for u..
*
u sure they dont perform eye test?? for nautical science also?

is they will perform during medical check up..

if they later find u have eye problem, u either be gone with the wind or switch to marine engineering ..

advice...think clearly before joining..u would not have the chance for turning back once entered
*
my desicion have been made, now i want to know how will the eye test will performed.. because my uncle said there is..

cruise ship has different link, they dont deal with merchant container or tanker ...

I dunno ..
for interview, PUO ...u can use english but then they will request u to speak in malay later on..

for alam, starting to end, is english, but u can speak in malay
*

but it is encouraged not to speak in malay during the interview.

300 excessive ??

maybe it is because of economy down...

always hear we r 80% shortage ...
bout psychometric test, it is new, only this year use this system ..

but the question is predictable, i mean the questions test ur common sense ...

anyone can fake to be good person if u hv good common sense in choosing the answer
*

But what do they expect?
Extraverted or Introverted, Sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling
judging or perceiving ??

because once i know i can control the results..
