besides, the family part also a essential issue to consider..
once u hv joined, there is no turning back unless u strike hard to finish the contract for coming decade n change ur path to onshore

for guys whose BMI is slightly exceeded 22, is consider okay yet..

but for obese guys... ur chance to be selected is slashed by 50%..i am very sure that ALAM hates fatso..

on my batch, 09 intake, I hardly can see any fat guys, nevertheless there are few, not more than 5, obese guys out of 169 cadets.

but for earlier intake, there are few super-big sized ones

hey, just want to know, do you guys 'cheat' in your form for the spm trial result? my spm trial result wasn't that good but my real spm result is better than the trial..so, should i put the spm result or the trial? im 2007 spm student...

haizz...i didn't get the offer to PUO...i knew it..i screwed it up during the interview...T_T....hope that i will enter alam

they will not only conduct eye test but full body medical checkup from particular clinic approved by marine department before u entering alam.

btw, there is nothing to cheat, for academics, u need to show them ur hard copy..

for weight, may be u can cheat for ~ 5 kg...that's all..
alam's selection process is more stages than PUO,
PUO has very low requirement, they choose for non-colour blind n passed all the core subjects in spm ..even if u get D for english, u will be called for interview.
CGPA 1.0 to pass overall semester.

for ALAM, u need at least C6 in spm to begin with, technical subject is like engineering drawing or some kinds of SMK Teknik courses subjects,
this year the sponsor's requirement(except bumi armada, jpa, felda..) is 3.0 of CGPA, 1.7CGPA for alam itself to pass overall semester.
if u failed add math in spm, i suggest u take nautical studies or PUO's marine engineering...alam marine eng i think is way too tough for u..

is they will perform during medical check up..

if they later find u have eye problem, u either be gone with the wind or switch to marine engineering ..

advice...think clearly before joining..u would not have the chance for turning back once entered

when is the intake for the next intake? will it be earlier of 2010 , because the application will be close by 10th january?
means the intake is bfore spm result not after? why?
