As for my experience yellowsn0w-ing iphones, one thing, the most important thing that one must have is PATIENCE...
For me yellowsn0w-ing my colleague's iphone is really tedious..u have to try a lot of methods (i dont know anyone out there who just got lucky successfully yellowsn0w-ed an Iphone on the first try) before seeing some bar of carrier line appeared on top of the Iphone.
It took me 10-15 minutes to "Yellowsn0'ed" my iPhone 3G successfully BUT it took me 2 hours to Restore and Jailbreak 2.2!!

Its because Qiuckpwn for Mac OS 10.5.6 have problem. It can only be resolve if we connect the iphone via a USB Hub. Not sure how many faced this problem or not... hmm.gif

No point. They can't really do anything about it.

They can charge for providing the "service and support". They can claim they are not charging for the unlocking software itself.

The Dev Team cannot sue if people charge the "unlocking service".
But if they claimed the yellowsn0w is theirs or they change the code in a different way, most probably the Dev Team can sue them and make more money than the Donation (which the Dev Team decline to accept).

i doubt they went as far as changing any coding... i gues theres nothing we can do if people dont read up or learn a little about a phone they are about to buy (especially if its an expensive one)

that is for when u wanna buy the phone,
i got quoted rm350 just to bring the phone for them to unlock,
lowyat 350, subang parade and carrefour rm250

and for the guys who are providing services like me, here's my justifications
if you don't know, you ask for help, of course there must be some form of token of appreciation right?

from what i'm doing, its just to get some extra pocket money and for the well being of the iphone community as a whole smile.gif

and for 2g set.... is there any 'issues' i need to know before upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2 firmware?
